The Medicom version is the superior version, especially when it comes to the head sculpt. To me, that's the most important thing when it comes to a figure. Though, the major issue with the Medicom version is the scale and it's way too short. The figure lacks the details due to the flat paint. The paint application is much superior on the Hot Toys Alien Big Chap when compared to the Medicom Alien Big Chap. Nothing against the Hot Toys Alien Big Chap. It definitely looks good and it has a nice shelf presence. The figure is much taller as it should be. The details are more noticeable on the Hot Toys version. However, the main problem with the Hot Toys figure is the cheap rubber material, which I'm not a fan of whatsoever. For the price that Hot Toys charges, the figure's material should be higher quality. Thanks, Dean! As always, I really appreciate the hard work! Keep it up! God bless and stay safe!

Have to agree 100%. Since grabbing the Medi a couple of months ago I could see straight out how better it was than the HT. Think the koto still is best for paint apps and sculpt, shame it's just so small. Have the Prime 1 arriving soon, hoping that's going to be something amazing.

I love these and have the Alien Warrior 2.0 from Hot Toys. I just wish they would have made these figures already crouched and ready to attack with minimal articulation rather than standing straight up with minimal articulation. They just look a bit awkward relaxed standing straight up. But the overall look, colors and detail are amazing!!

Scary hearing that about the dog alien from Alien 3 - such a great figure to want to have but man - the rotting ? Glad you stated that 🔥

This is the showdown I was waiting for 😂👍 I've tried to find the Medicom version for sale online and keep coming up with listings for the 6" figure 😅 This Medicom piece is a wonderful grail, and I'm actually happy to see that it is difficult to get 👏 makes it very special in my book and that is a good thing 👍 thanks for sharing this review Dean Knight

The medicom one is superior in every way exept for the height.. shame hot toys made such a bad big chap while their alien warrior looks so amazing. But hot toys had to use that stupid rubber material again.. they make such poor material decision sometimes.

Very interesting to see these two compared. The medicom figure looks absolutely incredible. I never liked the hot toys big chap much, I don't have your incredible eye for detail but just the dome really bugged me. If only the medicom figure was scaled properly 😂 for now I'll have to stick to my hot toys alien warrior (although now I'll be checking to see how accurate it really is haha) for now.

Are the RAH actually supposed to be 1/6? Their site doesn't list any scale really. They are all just around 300mm.

I really like the Medicom one much more better the bigger Alien figure did not impress me much but! if you really are a Alien Collector i do not see nothing wrong with you buying the other figure as a collection

Excluding height, HT to me has that "something" that screams Alien

I had both, sold them both. But I loved my Medicom Big Chap. The Hot Toys one is a joke. And a pretty poor one at that.

Never owned the Hot toys version for obvious reasons. Medicom big chap is pretty much perfection, anyone wants an accurate rendition of the greatest creature ever designed its this.
