They announced Power Princess to complete the Squadron Supreme team, not because they wanted to compete with McFarlane’s WW

@XodusOnan, sure, that’s one reason why they released her, but I think there was more behind the release of Power Princess. To me she’s the best marvel legends figure produced out of the whole team they made. The rest of the team is extremely plain, the best thing about them are the head sculpts - the rest of the buck does not have much to them, source material aside. To me it seems like they actually tried with Power Princess because of who she is and what inspired her creation, as well as the narratives that are out there about both of these companies. At least that’s how I see it 🫡👊🤙

Why do both companies not have characters the fans want? It is strange McFarlane did not give us the classic or standard Wonder Woman until Marvel “threatened “ them with their own version.

@brianng8350, I’m not sure, but I have a feeling that it’s to keep us coming back and keep our attention. I’m telling you, as soon as McFarlane saw PP he announced classic WW. And how often does hasbro release a whole team, in separate boxes, so quickly? 🫡🤙

Adter purchasing both, I find the Power Princess figure to be a better Wonder Woman figure than the McFarlane WW. I like how you tricked yours out, though. Side note, please do something about your audio quality. I have a feeling it will improve your channel's popularity.

@chainsawhappy, Agreed! Power Princess is a much more refined and almost perfect figure. McFarlane’s WW does a pretty good job in that costume for now. Got it! I’ll try something different next time, if you watch my next video, please let me know if it improves. I think the quality dips if you listen with headphones, but I’ll work on it. Both figures are amazing and collectors are so lucky to get them. Put the PP head on the McFarlane figure, add a star to the tiara and bingo, perfect WW figure. Couldn't ask for better...except for the feet. Would rather have seen her traditional heels... For example, the heels on the Alicia Silverstone Batgirl on the WW figure would have been perfect!

@hellenvabpattersonpatton80, Yup, it’s definitely a treat to get both of these figures for sure, especially at the same time. Did not think about the traditional heels, but you’re right, the heels would’ve made the figure much better. Probably a little taller too but better. Hopefully he makes that adjustment on any subsequent release of this version of WW, or at the very least improves the feet. And for sure, PP is a great base figure to customize into a 6inch WW figure as well 🫡🤙

@sickonesnow, Sure, this is one reason why they released her. But I do not think it’s the only reason. As I explained, there is more behind their releases. I find it interesting that they gave us the whole team so quickly. Usually they only do this in box sets. They often take a long time to complete teams. Unless the pattern is changing. But I don’t see it that way. I think they released the rest of the team to hide the fact that they were trying to take another shot at McFarlane. Also, to me, PP is the best figure out of the whole team. Every other SS figure is plain as day. The best thing about them is their head sculpt. It feels like they actually tried to put out a decent figure with PP because of who she is and the inspiration behind her creation. I could be wrong, but that’s how I see it. 🫡🤙

The best $20 Wonder woman is the marvel Legends She-Hulk from the tv show 😁

Great comparison I still prefer the Wonder Woman classic by Mcfarlane because I am a huge wonder woman, fan and her classic look and I think the hair on the McFarlane figure looks way better than the power princess hair It’s just interesting that so many people have been bashing Hasbro legends for so long to try to prop up. McFarlane toys are now saying the power princess is a better looking figure than one one by McFarlane, so I’m totally confused. I’m not saying you are saying that but just bringing that up

@Christian_Ada1, Thank you!! I appreciate it! Yeah, I can see why you think the hair looks better on the McFarlane figure and why you prefer the McFarlane one. I'm not sure I've seen people bashing Hasbro to prop up the DC Multiverse line. I saw the complete opposite when McFarlane released his figures, and still see a lot of it today. Every chance these podcasts get to make fun of Todd and his figures they take - all while ignoring or side stepping the long standing issues with Hasbro/Legends. Today, what I am seeing is more and more people break away from Legends and pick up more McFarlane figures. The issues with Legends have not improved, they are still plagued with the same issues they had before McFarlane released his figures. Just my take on situation.

Overall I think the marvel legends is better. But mcfartlane has the better engineering 😂❤

I don't really have any issues with the scale, I love WW with that statuesque torso looking imposing and stunning at the same time, 5'8" to 6'2" buff to her height for the present day this figure fits the bill. PP has the classic generic comic book heroine face with the poofy lips that Hasbro executed to a T. I admit at the start I had to analyze MF WW face as it seems to combine elements of comics and realism that I soon learn to appreciate as more pics got revealed and especially after getting my copy so I salute MF for trying to avoid just making a Hasbro clone, she also has that feint smile/smirk which is nice. Over all I wanted a WW and I got one, PP is nice but I do not know her so I will have to pass.

@strafe_breaker3440, I’m glad you like the scale. She is a little too tall for me, but I can still work her in well into my displays. Yeah, I can see that about PP’s face. And yeah, Hasbro definitely did a good job with it. And yeah, the MF WW face, you have to stare at it a little under a certain light to find it. As you said, it’s both a mixture of comic and realism depending on the angle and light you observe it under. Hopefully with any subsequent releases we get some alternate head sculpts as well. I’m glad you got the WW. If you can, and if you get the opportunity, I highly recommend the PP figure. Also, PP’s back story, and the Squadron Supreme story in general, is worth learning about when you have some spare time. Their story and how they came about is pretty interesting and cool, I think. 🫡🤙

@worldwarrior1022, True! Good point. I forgot about Marvel Select when I was making the video, as I only have like 10-15 of their figures. I should incorporate one of their figures into the comparisons going forward, but MS does work better with NECA and McFarlane 🫡👊🤙
