the few shells that seemed like a all boom shell in the racoon futuramas kit was a defect where the stars did not light. its a nice defect as it still makes a decent boom. it happens when the break charge burns to fast.

I don't think that the stars didn't light, they burned inside the shell as it was made to thick if i had to guess.

Black cat made great firecrackers. That is it. Maybe bottle rockets. Nothing else So many fireworks being made but rarely is quality control taken seriously. Symmetry is the key. Sound is nice, color and effects are awesome but when it's done in a perfect circle, that looks fantastic.

I read somewhere that the blue color comes from copper. Copper requires more heat to burn, and a hotter burst charge is required. This might account for the louder "BOOMS" you were talking about. I could be wrong. I love the video! Thanks cody

@CodyBPyrotechnics if i were to take a guess it would be because of the copper that has oxidized. copper is used to produce blue flames and my guess is that the copper get hot enough to separate the oxygen from the copper increasing the rate of combustion.

Cody do you remember the artillery shells "Holy Cow"? I remember they were dirt cheap and I don't know if it was because they didn't go as high but they broke really hard. Then a few years later they didn't do so well and then disappeared.

You should pick up skinwalker shell kit from big fireworks in rapid city by far one of the best shell kits ive seen in awhile

"Black Cat is the best you can get." I don't really think so. In my personal opinion I think Big or Raccoon makes the best canister shells. And Magnus and Brothers make the best repeaters/cakes. Dominator is pretty good as well in both in my opinion

When you think of reloadable shells you have 2 different kinds. Balls and cans, with balls you get that circle break and with cans you get wide spread but your paying a little extra for the noise. Really anything that’s somewhat new like brothers will be pretty grand.

Hey have you done a review with the ones from red apple fireworks? Lile the chroma, tiki bombs, buddha or geish i believe is the name

Man, i havent seen Kylin King since the mid 2000s! They and Windmill are factoried started by ex Beihai employees when that factory was shut down. Windmill in particular came out with a bunch of really creative shell types. Magnus is another newer brand with some very nice ball shells.

Firework companies need to step up the ball shell game , if these were all various canister shell kits more then likely they would perform way batter then most of these shells ,, I'm pretty sure they could make some banging ball shells if they wanted to there are some real solid ball shells out there now just not enough

We have black cat fireworks here in the UK and they are an awful rip off. Great video!

Blackcat "not a real ball shell" - as predictable as the sunrise with that brand. Phantom, TNT, and Blackcat are the worst brands in the industry bar none.

For the price, I'm not impressed with any of them.
