@@gdaman3700 some states require that "undetectable" blades, i.e. plastic, ceramic, bone, ext. Must be sold in a way that makes them detectable from the manufacturer. Thus the metal rings that they don't recommend you remove but can. Nice of them as opposed to putting it into the handle or blade.

Having metal inbedded or on a non metallic knife defeats the purpose of having a non metallic knife

I keep the FGX tanto attached to my showerheads, every shower in the house. A little bit of "sharpening" with the highest grit sandpaper you can find will put a paper-slicing edge on it. But it won't keep that edge at all. My girlfriend keeps a FGX Boot Blade 1 in her flower pot since the "knife" can't rust and digs pretty well in a pinch.

I actually do have several of them, scattered around the house and the property, including in the shower.

If I put that in my shower, it would almost guarantee Murphy’s Law to intrude and have me slip on soap and while trying not to fall, knocking off the suction cup and the knife would undoubtedly land pointy side up, or at least in the direction of my ribs…..that’s why I keep my AR-15 in the shower with me instead of a plastic knife. 😂

You should try the FGX Chaos, probably the best one

Try the Wasp and the Push Daggers.

I'll save you some time. Get a couple of the ring daggers, the wasp and some of the ballisongs.

These are mass produced shanks. These are not slashing weapons they are puncturing weapons. FGX Chaos absolutely can ventilate someone

Watch out for the deadly spinach, especially in the shower. It lurks in the shadows.

The only purpose of these is for self defence.... And for price you can't complain. The metal rings are to get past laws, both American and international laws. Since some has restricted plastic/Non permissive knives.

Can't have a non metallic knife but an AK47 no problem. Not saying anything necessarily about firearms but restrictions like that make no sense. On the other hand in Florida if you have a concealed firearms and weapons license you can basically carry anything except a ballistic knife

@@TheGreyman61also no in all states you can carry and use all weapons in all ways other than actually illegal ways like murdering someone or whatever else like that legally without anything they say you ""need" for it to be "legal"" cause of the second amendment

No but I have seen a completely non metallic horizontal sheath for the smaller of the 2 push daggers coldsteel makes. I don't remember who sells it but if you put in the search engine sheath for Coldsteel FGX push dagger it should come up

its to comply with the "laws" that say you have to have some kind of metal so they think you cant make it go through a metal detector

You don't need to stab 30 or 40 times with that. Unless you stab in non lethal areas, hit artery and its over. Not hard to do that either

They're mainly intended to be bought in bulk and stashed all over to provide an easily accessible (though admittedly very low-quality) weapon in a pinch

ofc they are not meant to be used as knives in the sense of cutting BUT they are 100% still intended to be used as stabbing and thrusting weapons.
