The belt in the DC Direct/DC Collectibles figure IS the accurate one to Arkham City. The belt that the new figure has is inaccurate since it uses the Arkham Asylum model, not the Arkham City one. The same with the boots. It reuses the Asylum one when Arkham City has different boots.

The grapple gun is actually accurate to the whole series. The one that came with the Arkham Asylum figure is actually the remote claw from Arkham Origins. The one that came with AK Batman is actually the Remote Electric Charge gun

I like the paint and belt on the older figure but I like the head and the knuckle detail on the newer version.

i think my only problem this batman figure has, is that it's suffers from the same problem as the batman movie figure, skinny legs, they look way too small compared to the torso and arms, they should have made the legs more bulky and muscular, like in the game itself

I've got my McFarlene Toys Batman Arkham City today and I love it! I do not understand why people are very harsh toward this figure, only because minor details diverge from the actual design in the game. I do understand that McFarlene had to reuse some elements from the previous Batman Arkham Asylum figure to contain the production costs and so retail the figure to $19 (€25-30 here in Italy).

It's not really accurate (bat-symbol too large) but it's a nice rendition of an Arkham-esque batman. I'll go for it. I might even paint the eyes in, so the figure gets a bit more accurate.

this figure can be used for a comic book display. Switch the arms with the three jokers batman and youre good

They can be swapped but 3 jokers batman doesn't have that sculpt of arkham which in process will not match the body. 3 jokers batman gloves are small compared to Arkham batman as the later has big chunky gauntlets.

@@s.s.6135 3 jokers batman has a bigger body than Arkham batman. As McFarlane figure has a tendency of long legs it may be looking too long for arkham one. But it's all upto personal preferences... it's upto you how you like it. Arm swap is better than leg swap in my opinion

The head looks so much better than the Arkham asylum figure, I’ll get it for the updated head alone.

Detective mode eyes was a neat touch.

I got him just for the head sculp. I was not a fan of the little legs. but I was messing around and I switched the Arkham City legs out for three Jokers Batman and it looks awesome! the boots aren't accurate with the game but I'm thinking about switching the arms and just making it a comic Batman.

16:37 Actually those other two gadgets aren't grapnel guns and they are accurate to the games. The one in the middle is the Remote Claw from Arkham Origins and the one on top is the Remote Electrical Charge (R.E.C.) from Arkham City/Arkham Knight.

This was my first mcfarlane since i was never interested in dc action figures,but after playing 2 arkham batman games(asylum and city) i decided to buy an arkham batman figure and found this one for 26 dollars or so and first impressions were pretty good but i was a huge AC fan so i was dissapointed that it's proportions doesnt look game accurate like how the shoulders look a lil too wide and how the legs are a bit slimmer compared to its upper body and also the lack of articulation,but everything was impressive imo,the headsculpt was spot on,the mouth shape,the wrinkles,everything was spot on,the gauntlets were addicting to look at,and i love how mcfarlane exagerrated the lines on the grey part of the suit. It's been 5 months since i've bought the figure and the cartoonish proportions grew on me,the wide shoulders and slimmer legs reminded me of the animated series batman and now i kinda dig it,my last rating on the figure was a 7.8/10 but now it went up to a nice 8/10 especially since i dont have the asylum version

I wish they could make the capes cloth some how. I hated plastic capes in the 90s and i still do til this day.

Great video! Just a heads up McFarlane don't technically have a butterfly joint it's an extra space which allows more movement combined with a plastic washer piece to cover up that extra space and prevent the sculpt from breaking up.

I have found out that that isn't the grapple gun, It's actually the Bat Claw.

How does this compare with the mcfarlane dc rebirth batman

The bat symbol was different in Arkham city it looked liked the mcfarlane Arkham city batman logo on the figure

Even though I don’t have the McFarlane Toys Arkham City Batman Figure, this is the best version of Batman I would add to my collection along with the McFarlane Toys The Batman Figure. If you haven’t heard, there were Batman figures made by toy designer David Vonner that were never released. Maybe McFarlane toys can make the Definitive Black & Grey Batman Figure and Blue & Grey Batman Figure similar to David Vonner’s design.

Looked it up, not a bad design.

The head looks a lot worse on this figure, his face looks more like dark knight returns then Arkham city

Personal preference I really love this figure except the arms I hate the elbows but I can easily change them with 3 Jokers like I'm currently doing with a death metal Batman making him "The perfect Batman" I've also customised the Rebirth Batman with 3 Jokers Batman's legs and hands and his arms belong to Thomas Wayne Batman and in the end result making him look incredible! Still I'll have to grab this figure and tinker with the arms a bit

I'm still undecided. I need to get an Arkham Batman figure. That paint job on the utility belt is what I dislike the most. I don't know which figure to get. Also the Asylum Batman is hard to get now.

gonna be getting him for my birthday. Very excited. Gonna start collecting as i dont have any figures. Only thing i m not a fan of toooo much is the head. I prefer the arkham asylum head. If i had to choose i would definately get the arkham asylum figure because he looks better overall, but this figure still looks super cool!

Thanks so much for a thorough review of the three variant Arkham figures. I ended up getting the original one, and love it! I am repainting it, and adding a soft goods wired cape soon, but man, what a figure! I do like the arms and headsculpt better on the re-release, but I am willing to accept the details as they are. Your video helped me a LOT and the figure I have is now a favorite! Keep up the great reviews!!!😊👍

Yes, just be careful with wear and tear on the joint. I've seen others swap the stick legs for Three Jokers' ones and that works too.

I have the sealed two pack so i had to get the new one and open it, I agree on all points, we got cheated a bit but I don't mind so much, I'm just happy to be getting game figures and I hope he gives us a proper game accurate Mr freeze, the recent one was a big miss.

Do your homework. The belt is wrong with the pockets. The dc figure is accurate.

I think this is the best looking, legs would've been better more buffed up for sure but the rest is a no brainer

I prefer the DC Direct version. Except because the head. The skull is too small.

The only thing that bothers me is that the arms still look way too long and the hands are way too small. Everything else about the Batman figure I'm actually okay with

Walmart has a Black and White variant, harkening back to the marketing for AC.

arkham asylum and arkham knight bat symbols on the chest were different in each game and is accurate.

the time is kinda limited so not that much time to design

I’m gonna be real here, the colors are far from game accurate. This figure gives me more of an injustice vibe. It has a really good cowl though but other than that this figure doesn’t look like Arkham city batman in the slightest

Is it just me, or do the arms and torso on the new figure have completely different grays???

those chicken legs really piss me off! I ended up switching those legs out with a three jokers of batman. the lines aren't there but it looks way better!

Good sculpt but like you I really don’t like the thighs on either Mcfarlane Arkham figure as they’re too skinny, the single jointed elbows, and the weird ankles severely bother me too. Seeing the new Injustice figure, Dark Knight returns, and near fantastic Justice League 2021 figure is, I was very disappointed with the Asylum figure and now seeing it’s basically reuse I will be skipping the City figure. While DC Direct is limited on articulation for each Arkham figure, the sculpt is highly accurate. If this makes sense I honestly prefer what Jazwarez is doing with most of their Halo figures for comparison; fantastic and extremely accurate sculpt with hyper articulation hidden within semi sculpt breaking joints. If it took parts of the figure to be separated or extended I’d much prefer that style. Hopefully the inevitable Arkham Origins figure knocks it out of the park as that’s one of my favorite suits for the caped crusader.

The Mcfarlane is the inaccurate one. The belt and boots are reused from the Asylum version which is incorrect. The Direct one is way more accurate.

I wanna say probably not but then again, I wasn't expecting there to be an infected Joker from Arkham City so anything can happen.

Can you head swallow new head onto old body?

As always articulations are waful, especially at the ankles, all figures seems to wear crocs; the wrists showing a tiny piece attached to the ball, and the already classic buttefly articulated shoulders, one of the worst possible ideas ever conceived in matter of toys.

I have yet to see a single Mcfarlane Batman figure without a big noteworthy flaw. Tsk, tsk, tsk. Hasbro, on the other hand, can make figures that are great for their price with insignificant flaws.

Dc collectibles got it the most accurate

DC Direct way better.

Arkham series is my favorite looks of all time. Too bad Gotham knights Is canon

I have 4 of those same Batman figures and I also have that same Joker figure too I have OCD too by the way
