After 55 years riding bikes, I now know that they are all special in some way. I cannot remember a bike that I didn't like. Your Honda selection is fabulous. I had a Blackbird when they first came out. That was awesome, as was one of the last Blackbirds before being discontinued. A 95 Urban Tiger Fireblade was a daily driver for a number of years, and numerous !000Fs before that. All I have now (at 72 ) is an 03 blue 954 Fireblade with 12k from new. Enjoy your machines, never part with any, and savour every moment.

I really enjoy the 954, it gives amazing vibes with the history and the comfort behind it. It makes me happy to understand Baba the designer who made it is an amazingly nice guy and the bike shows it. It has designs even in the fenders, and the fairings even have a cut out to let air through and try to keep the front end planted as well with how the design was made to be ridden better in corners not straights. It has a purpose and an zing history. It’s better than the RC better than an h2 I would rather pay for a stock old bike that holds up to today rather than has speed that I will never use. This is a bike to keep and bring down the family line. The heart of a 954 will never die, they last forever.

@Michael Pullins The 954 was known to have issue with the engine case cracking on its own, even with low mileage and careful ownership. It has to do with Honda expanding the bore from the 900rr to the 929rr and then again for the 954rr, it left very thin walls between the cylinder wall and outer engine casing.

Sorry to hear that man, that sucks. I had a family friend on who rode sport bikes as long as I've known him and it ended up being his like $50,000 harley he got hit on, which I thought was a little ironic, everyone said the GSXR1000 he had was the "death machine". A van pulled out in front making a left turn from the street to right of him and he had no time to do anything and slammed into the driver side/front. It messed him up bad, destroyed his body, tons of broken bones and some brain damage. This happened when he was late 40s early 50s so he decided not to ride again cause his reaction times and memory are impaired. He drives his shelby cobra now instead lmao. I'll tell ya my mother was scared shitless and yelling at me when I bought my second bike cause its fast as hell. But hey you only get to live on this beautiful planet once and riding seasons are short here in Canada so I ride as much as I can!

Love your commentary Hero. I have an Rc51 that I hate riding thru town but canyon carving on Sundays are magical. In corners it is extremely stable and its power delivery allows me to get on the power out of corners sooner than I could on an inline 4. That allows me to stay with all these new monster horsepower superbikes except for high speed straights.

I had a RC 51 and absolutely loved riding up in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Up in the hills the torque was fantastic to have available. You can have a lot of fun without having to wring its neck all the time. I also had a NC30 at the same time. It was fantastic around town, but was arguably just as uncomfortable as the RC51. It felt like a paperweight compared to the RC51. It was also fun when you pushed the rpm needle past 8,000 rpm. Thanks for the video descriptions!

Very cool review. Very good variety of motorcycles. I have owned a 2000 RC51 - SP1 and now I own a 2003 RC51 - SP2. I LOVE LOVE the RC51. It is a motorcycle that makes work at your riding and it rewards you for that hard work. It forces you to pay attention to posture, body positioning, vision, gearing, shifting, leaning, acceleration, braking.....all in all...the RC51's which were very track oriented are a bit uncomfortable to ride on the streets and are still a bit of a challenge even on the track. I also own a 2006 Zx10R. that bike is no problem. It does everything really well but...it is not as rewarding to ride as an RC51. Again, HeroRR - great collection of bikes. Thank you for sharing your perspective on them with us. Be well; stay safe.

MY wife had the '08 600rr graffiti edition, and I've had the other three. All are exceptional choices. Now I'm down to my '03 SP-2 and '03 Blackbird. I thought I'd miss the '05 VFR, but nope. The Blackbird is everything the VFR was but turned up to 11. The ONLY thing I miss is the V4 sound through Remus full exhaust. That engine is music at full song.

A good selection of Honda motorcycles. Honda is my favorite motorcycle manufacturer. I own a Honda CBR1000RR SC59 myself. I always have to smile a little when I see videos from the United States showing super sports motorcycles with over 120 HP. Riding such potent and sporty motorcycles in a country where you can legally drive a maximum of 70 mph is a little ... um ... unusual. Here in Germany I can at least let off steam on the Autobahn if my fingers itch. In the United States, I would have been in prison for a long time for speeding.

I've had all the bikes in the video and a number of other liter bikes. When you add it all up, from the comfort, to the reliability, performance, and everything else, I have to say that a stock 954 is one of the best bikes ever made. That being said, a mildly modified 954 (full exh, PC, gutted airbox, revalved/spring front fork, etc.) is even better. It gains an aggressive edge and persona that elevates it to a new level, which is why I think it's the best sportbike money can buy. And yes, I've ridden the latest round of liter bikes and was unimpressed.

Really...really loved this video. I owned a 2006 CBR600RR. Yes, the 2007-08 CBR600RR was the best ever. My favourite of the bunch is the RC-51. I tested one years ago..absolutely loved it..and it was in Colin Edwards' color. I rode the VFR too...along with the BlackBird. Both good bikes but it doesn't speak to me..y'know. I've not ridden the 954 before but I rode the CBR900RR...the first generation. That's another amazing bike. I can ride it all day. Absolutely loved it. I was offered to buy it but the guy wanted too much. It was in Camel Honda color. I still ride my 2006 CBR600RR...and yes, I commute on it..always the long way home. Damn..this lockdown.

Great video. I'm a summer rider here in the UK who is seriously thinking of getting a 2008 CBR600RR. I'm 52yrs old & my current bike I a 1997 ZX7R which I've owned for 15yrs now. I don't want a litre bike (not necessary for the road imo) & I could do with something smaller & lighter to manoeuvre into my small garage, plus the 7R puts strain on my wrists with the low clip ons, so the CBR 600 seems a good solution for me.

pretty much my dream Honda line up. I've ridden the 600RR, 954, and RC51 (I owned a TL1000R). Always wanted an Interceptor. Sadly injury keeps me from rear set pegs so I putter around on a CTX700 DCT these days and really like the little cruiser.

Hero, I knew you had these bikes from watching your videos, but never thought you had all 4 in the stable at one time. I'm guessing the "dream house" should have a 4 bike garage? Almost lost my mind at the intro!🤯. Love the comparison video! Always great content. I'm partial to the 600rr. I own a 2007, which ironically looks identical to yours, with the Corbin seat and exhaust, but not the red (or stock matte grey) middle cowl. P.O. must have been a Hero fan?🤔Awesome bike! Super fun! I'll admit I'm a older rider and I think it's the most comfortable supersport. I did a lot of research before I bought it. Honda quality, reliability, performance and looks sold me. The bike is nimble and blast to ride. As a kid I always wanted a VFR 750 interceptor. I had a RC51 pull up beside once, the sound of it accelerating is still stuck in my head. My vote would be to keep the 954, but I totally understand your dilemma. It would a bit of a gamble to sell the bike, unless you found the perfect replacement first. Maybe a 9th generation? If you pull that exchange off you would truly take the "Hero" moniker to another level in my mind🤯🤯🤯🤯!!

The 954 is an amazing motorcycle let alone sport bike. My first street bike was a Honda shadow ace. Followed by a 2003 954 rr. I’ve had a 2014 zx10r and currently have a 2015 rsv4 and I can honestly say that other than the crazy top speed of the latter bikes the 954 has a character that they lack, even the Aprilia. Amazing bike. As far as can you track it... I would say yes. You know if it’s sound. I have seen countless guys throw their bike into the sand hard at a track day, tape, zip tie it back together, and track it hard for the rest of the weekend. Not to mention the overall condition of some of the bikes these guys reliably track week after month after year. Regardless, awesome collection. Ride safe!!

Been riding Gold-wings since 2000 had a 25 th anniversary and also bought a brand new special edition 40 th anniversary, before that i had a V45 since the 90s and now just bought a VFR 800 2014 that i haven't tried yet since it winter, it gives me time to put it apart and inspect everything and see how it ticks, the bike i would like to try is the 600RR since the power weight ratio looks interesting, i don't think i will ever own one since the plates here in Quebec for a sport bike are 1400$ for 3 months of nice weather. Great work on your videos i am going throw them one by one especially loved the VFR complete life span it what made me chose to buy my VFR has my next bike. Thank You and i am also a Honda freak on all my vehicles.
