Just wanted to say I'm a customer bought a cj7 tub back in 2013 on my restoration Jeep cj7 they were awesome I'm in Miami got the tub as describe very happy thanks guys

The rear mounts on the YJ are wider than the CJ by about 1 inch on center per side. Some people fill the bushing hole and redrill, others just elongate the CJ holes towards the outside.

The yj frames are about 3" wider in front and 5" in rear.

It kind of looks like all those c.j. body mounts were re-welded I wonder if they're even in the correct locations

Hi. Great info. I have question and think you are right person to ask. From CJ series what is the closest frame to YJ. Is it CJ 7 ?

I would like to know if cj narrow frame will fit on cj5 82. After 76 cj5 and cj7 become boxed frame so I wonder if narrow frame will fit on cj5 82?

Are the frame rails the same width on cj7 and yj? I have a cj7 and wanting a 4 link kit but it only comes in yj. Any info would be helpful.

The later wide track cj7 frames and YJ frames are almost identical so it’s going to depend on what year you have

Need a cj7 rear section! Whatcha got?

I'm been looking for a Jeep Project and wanted something unique and was wondering if you had any SJ Cherokees. I was thinking about using a diesel engine in my project. Any advice or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I live in Ohio and I'm in need of a 94 yj frame how much

yj bodys were hot dip galvanized from the factory so thats why they are better most of the time.

That's not completely accurate, Jeep only did this on YJ's in 1995

One thing to note is the body mounts might be similar but, the frame rails on the YJ are a little wider than the CJ. This will effect axle mounting. CJ axle mount pads are too narrow to mount on YJ frame front and rear. Great video otherwise

If swapping a YJ frame to a CJ you can use Scout II axles. They have the same width on the spring perches as the YJ front and have pumpkin on the right like CJ.

No sorry, we do have a Factory Jeep Accessory Hard Top and set of Factory doors that came off a 83 CJ5

I’m in need of CJ-7 auto transmission. Anyone?

both cj and yj frames always rust out in the rear because of dirt and salt/ snow melter.

Are there any other major concerns I encounter dropping a YJ tub on my '76 CJ-7? I can weld and fab, but just hoping for some pointers as I am a complete newbie to the Jeep world. My Jeep CJ-7 has a trashed tub and front sheet metal and a worn out 304. The running gear seems ok. This video helped a lot.

I have not bought one yet. Any thoughts on what I should avoid? I am kicking myself for passing up good YJ tub locally for $500. Was previously told a YJ swap to a CJ frame was a huge pain. Looks like I was misled. Any info would be helpful.

Stay away from any and all rust, early tubs seem to be made a bit better, torque channels on tub are key to be in top shape, I think we might have 1 or 2 left from California we picked up over the summer. Give us a call if interested 303-666-9020

do you have a cj7 available? and how much?

Do you have any Dana 44 front or rear axles? I have a95 jy I might be interested in at least changing out my front D35.
