    Hi there, amazing video! What do you know about the 168.016? I've just bought one... I'm guessing it's a special case number contemporary with the 168.018 but designed to house the slightly thicker day/date 751 movement? The lugs in profile are different again, but otherwise it's very similar to the 168.018..

    Your video is fantastic :-) I have had both the 168.004 (one in gold on steel with pie pan dial and one in steel without piepan) and the 168,018 in steel. Unfortunately I have sold those watches - I think it is the topmodel of Omegas in the 60'es. Now I have seen an omega 168.010 for sale in steel and with a pie pan dial - I had to check it out, and because of your video I can see that this Omega is kosher. Thanks a lot for your information :-) And to other Omega vintage owners: If you have epscielly the reference 168.004 and 168.010 - do never ever sell them. You will regret it.

    Very instructive video, thank you. I inherited two omega wrist watches from my father in law, one of the now identified as a 168.010 thanks to your video. One question though: it appears as if there is a cross line on the glass. Mine does not have it. Would this be original?

    Hi, and thank you for the comment. If you have any questions feel free to ask directly on the Omega forums, as there are many specialists there who can assist your question. I get a ton of questions throughout each day on my website and Instagram. To reduce stress, I will answer anything related to the products I have for sale. Try to find out two things as it will help you narrow down to possibly the exact model: 1. What is the lug width? 168.018 is the only model that takes 19mm strap while the other two take 18mm. 2. What calibre is inside your watch, 561 or 564? 564 has a quick set which only 168.010 and 168.018 carries.

    Can 168-004 by manually wound at all , or is it impossible as you suggest ?

  • @TimelessHistoryChannel

    @TimelessHistoryChannel

    3 жыл бұрын

    It can be if you can smaller fingers. But that will also depends on the freshness of the crown gasket and whether the automatic system has been well lubricated. Otherwise, you'll not be able to wind it with using your finger tips.

    Yes, but if you do that you will be creating a franken timepiece. An Omega specialist will be able to tell believe it or not. And why wear a made up watch, right? Another thing to know is that the movement serial number on the Omega Archive will reveal what case model it belongs to. Best to stick to an all correct timepiece.

    25mil dates to 1967 by estimation. But on the extract from the Omega archive it could be from 1968.
