Could we maybe get a cost analysis as well? Some of the best units obviously cost the most and may be a key piece of a unit comp, but may not be the main piece. Love this video tho! Keep up the great work.

Best vehicle from each faction vs infantry (so anti-infantry vehicles) For example the US AA halftrack, or the light tank, or the m4a1, which of these kill infantry the fastest

Then the opposite for my earlier comment as well, so anti-vehicle infantry comparison, so for example the US anti tank bazooka squad vs Ssf vs paratroopers vs British riflemen with boys at vs foot guards vs German panzershrecks etc. All against the same tank, which of these can kill a tank the fastest and can survive return fire from the tank Optionally to spice it up have the infantry who can do so throw one anti-tank grenade at the start, such as the British riflemen

12:30 when speaking on the capacity to fight armor your off by a bit, the guastatori apon getting to vet 1 (which isnt hard to do at all) have a vary potent anti tank satchel ability similar to penals with the at kit in coh2, most armor only needs 2-3 of these satchels to destroy them and even one will put most tanks in a world of hurt.

Great video man. Can you make comparison for infantry units which are in general best based on their ability to fight, cost and stuff like that :D Gurkhas are strong but they can obliterated by vehicles and in late game against mechanization

the guastatories can also deal with armor as they have AT stachel at vet 1, tho if you do count all units in here at vet 0 then i guess they won't count.

Yea you are right. But at this stage without vet 1 and they need to be super close they have last resort attempt but not capacity to deal with tanks in an normal or even competitive way

One of the issues here is that Strostrupen are an expensive endgame infantry unit for Wehrmacht. By the time you see Stros the match is of ten decided. They also have very high anti infantry but they have little in the way of anti vehicle so you see a metric fuckton of Jagers a lot of the time as a result.

Strostrupens are not meant to be blobed but rather 1 or 2 units to give you an enge. It is not uncommon to rush Tanks after first tier building and u lock pz iv and strostrupens. But yes they are expensive and if you have a bad game they might be a bit late to the field

@@strategydux Similar to Knights Cross Holders back in COH1. Was a very strong unit with high dps and virtual near immunity to suppression effects that had so much health that it took 2 sniper shots to kill 1 model. Problem was they were deployed from the 4th Wehrmacht building that also did Panzers 4's and Panthers I think? By that point in the game when they become available a lot of Wehr players were either running a ton of Grenadiers or if they were Assault then storm troopers as their line infantry. The grens were especially prevalent as you started with Volksgrenadiers and the Wehr player could get free gren squads from the medic bunkers who would often then be armed with shreks en masse. Deploying KCH was in many ways a either a luxury or desperation unit for someone to pull. I rarely saw any inbetween of either a Wehr player pulling them out in a game that was more or less already decided or as desperation when they are losing badly and they just took a massive loss of units so they are building them to try and act as the new core of their forces after losing all their pio gren volk etc squads.

I think you should consider adding veterancy too, for example Tommies get passive vet 1 bonus that makes them better against units not in cover, as opposed to other units with active ability, and British veterancy upgrade from base building significantly increases combat capabilities of all infantry as they gain more vet. I bet vet 3 Gurkas will completely destroy vet 3 Pzgrens even on close range.

Yo upgrades were added including the vet bonuses. With regarding vet 3 Gurkhas, well that is just setting up conditions for someone to win this is equal setting all passive buffs active and same cover given :D

Legend has it that a dv tried to nerf the Gurkhas, the Gurkha AI hacked off his fingers with Khukris.

No light cover only heavy and no cover, because who wins in no cover will win light cover :D and yes for paratroopers i did factor upgrades. Mg is an option also :D probably will make it. I hope you enjoy this

Well brits have infantry sections as one of the most cost effective, of the start and versatile infantry unit in the game. but Infantry sections against these mentioned German units will lose :D But I've already said in other comments we might to overall best infantry unit which is most cost effective and versatile. But as it stands these units are now best Infantry to fight other infantry

I know I'm breaking one of the established rules of this video, but for its the cost, the best most versatile infantry unit in my opinion is the panzerpioneer (along side the Pathfinder before they were nerfed). Cheap, sturdy and useful in most case especially long range. I think atm they are overtuned and should be a slightly more expensive. Another powerful infantry unit known as the fallschirmjäger aka lawnmower is really effective against infantry at any range against any type of cover. Idk if they are intended that way but they ignore cover completly and are somwhat kinda not expensive somehow.

Yo, I've excluded pioneears as than rooster list would be wider. We might make most versatile and all around infantry unit in the game and add pioneers there. At the moment we are just comparing infantry units but it is a good insight and suggestion honestly for sure :). I hope this list was interesting

We will probably make cost effective comparison of infantry units and than maybe include this category :D.

GUASTATORI are to expensive to reinforce and the reinforcement time takes ages so they are never worth it in 1v1 or 2v2, maybe in larger matches they are but def not smaller match ups. Assault grenadiers, just have way more versatility than them. Cheaper and reinforce very fast and you are not tied to a single battle group.

Yea Versitile all around units are the usually the most useful ones. Even in 4v4 rushing with Gustatori is bad, I usually send some infantry in front to soak the brunt of the dmg and than Gustatori as second wave.

I knew gurkha's were OP but that OP...

I mainly use as close quarters flank finishers. Tie up one or two infantary with HMG or infantary sections and then I flank those with gurkha with Thompson. In a blink that squad gets obliterated. I just didn't knew that with Bren's they could work very well long range. I normally went infantary sections with Lee and the anti tank weapons

Paratroopers are in USF list and jaggers are nowhere to be found when compared to others sadly

The title of the video can be a bit misleading. Its really the STRONGEST infantry not necessarily BEST as what makes something the best is subjective. It terms of BEST overall infantry of course you have to look at multiple factors, like cost efficiency and overall utility, not just raw damage output in a controlled vacuum. In terms of BEST infantry i'd say you gotta look at what people are spamming, since people tend to spam what is good. In my opinion its British Infantry Sections is the best overall infantry due to their performance for their cost and versatility with their weapon upgrades. Despite Foots Guards having bazookas or Gurkas being stronger against infantry, winning 3 out of 6 engagements across all factions, you still pretty much only see 4-5 unit Infantry Section blobs with Boys. Wehr Jaeger are probably best Axis infantry by the same logic. JaegerShrek blobs seems to be the best option even over StroBtrubben or PGrens. FallshirmPioneers paradrop gets used a fair amount too but they usually end up going JaegerShreks by the mid game. US Riflemen blobs are most common but Pathfinder/Paratrooper blobs used to be pretty prevelant too. DAK doesn't really spam infantry blobs as much as the other factions but Bersaglieri blobs would probably be their best infantry by this logic too. Since DAK PGrens require their combined arms passive to perform well you usually don't see anymore than 3 and Guasatori are way too expensive to try field more that 2 (and not get punished for it). Most fights it usually doesn't play out the way it does on paper. Infantry Sections and Riflemen both trade very well against DAK PGrens when they don't have combined arms passive which will be most of the early fights until around the 5-6min mark when they get their first a call in and T2 or T1.5 for their MG34 upgrades. DAK PGrens winning close and mid range is, as mentioned in the video, a combination of Combined Arms passive as well as MG34 upgrade PLUS another MG upgrade from the Italian Combined Arms battlegroup, which in actuality you almost never see together. If a DAK player is going Italian Combined Arms they usually just get Bersaglieri anyways not PGrens. Guasatori, the most expensive elite infantry in the game, seem to only win due to flamethrowers damage against cover while they themselves are behind cover. Wehr Grenadiers are by far the weakest mainline infantry across all the factions is what most Allies player will see until around 5min when Elite Jaegers or PGrens start dropping at which point Allies mainline should probably be losing to Elite Wehr infantry until they get their own elite infantry. Anyways, though it is hard to accurately show plays out in actual fights (units moving between cover, close range infantry taking damage while gap closing, etc.) still a great video comparison. I am curious to know if you tested US riflemen using their suppression ability if that makes any difference?

Also check the medium tank comparison and tell me what do you think about them. I am making AT infantry comparison it will be up in next few days. With regards to this being subjective I disagree as we had categories per ranges where they all got unlocked all buffs they can get (even though you might skip some in real game) but to make it fair. So it was not made without arguments. With regards to best and cost efficiency, I agree. However, this video was about which infantry is the best and strongest not which will give you most for the buck. Section will give you the most but 1 section vs 1 Strobtrupen will lose. Brits are so good and they spam sections because they are cheaper than DAK infantry and can bleed you early game, and are stronger than regular Grenadiers and you need to rush Strobtrupen or Jaggers to counter, as you also pointed out. I was thinking about comparing the core infantry units not all (core in sens they start with tier 0 or tier 1). But as you said in the end if you take this list which I’ve made and get these units in a real fight, which is hard to replicate because sometimes you have to move to heavy cover while enemy is already in heavy cover and he has unfair advantage, but per category and range in a real 1v1 fight you will get these results 100% :D So in the end it will lead you to same. I have not tested it because it is an active ability and you would have to vet up for it and select it instead of sprint. I have not used any active special ability for any infantry unit

Why aren't British engineers on the top of the list for close range?

Because we said at the start in Rules we are not comparing pioneers but infantry fighting units. Also they are decent at start but in close quarters they would lose to every unit on this list here

best infantry is OKW obers. company of heroes 3 don't exsist, it can't hurt you.

Their G43 has buff dmg against infantry in cover :D Jaggers are decent enough but in prolongue fights and especially in bigger team fights others scale better

jagers is good but it is outmatched by others :D good side is that you can get it early and it is relatively cheap

The ranking could be usefull if it included pionners and AT cause these units (Royal engenieers) are what you actually see in games. Also, the price of the unit should be taken in considération. Finally applying all upgrades is nonsence because you spend most of the game with nonupgraded units. several scenarios should have been taken in consideration. This video must have cost a lot of time and effort from you, but right now, the information provided are no use cause do not represent the reality in game

Yo bro thanks for comment. You have a point but it can not be taken in consideration completely. And there are 2 reasons why I decided not to go the route you said. First is that in amateur 1v1 players would not have enough resources to upgrade many of the units and will get up to 50% of upgrades trough out infantry, tanks etc. But better players in better balanced matches and especially in team fights players tend to at least upgrade all infantry units. Upgrades are not expensive and especially late game you have enough to get 1-2 tech upgrades which cost in total cca 330 manpower and 50 fuel :) Second is that it is almost impossible to recreate real time fighting. One unit is stationary in heavy cover other is in the open and running towards them, sometimes that gap run will be smaller sometimes bigger, sometimes during run they will have light cover. I decided to play it safe and give equal chance for both sides and to fight in best case scenario. Because to be frank even regular grenadiers have a chance against SSF Commando or even Gurkhas when they are in cover and these dudes are running in the open. We might do best cost effective overall infantry which is versitile and get costs and everything there in consideration :)

@@strategydux although there is a grey area you have to consider, since the vid did mention all upgrades, Wehr’s have a veterancy upgrade, technically that is an upgrade you have to dump resources on and it improves the units. So why is that not included? It is an upgrade after all.
