Coming back to this song after about a decade and a half I will say that this is legitimately beautiful to listen to. It’s like squinting at fine art how underground and pure and creative this era was. And to hear El say the super duty, tough, work line and know how influential company flow was for a home bastion of underground hip-hop truly is remarkable. Like I don’t know what else to say

I didn't immediately like "Funcrusher Plus" when I first heard it. Once I caught this video, that's when the proverbial light bulb went off. Twenty-seven years later and I still listen to that album.

I was a freshman in high school in 2012 and I made a sophomore friend in my French class. He would put me on hella gems like this track . This, vinnie paz, Raider Klan, Mf Doom, etc … good days .

This is what made me fall in love with Graffiti when I was a kid!!

1997!!!! This song still hasn't lost its flavor. It never will. This is 1 of the songs every young up and coming rapper and producer should listen to and study. Respect the craft ya dig.

I was living in Oahu, Hawaii (97-00) and was starving for real hip hop when this came out. I couldn’t stand the no limit, jiggy/puffy era.

YOU might have to replay several times to comprehend a fraction of the lyrics as this was created during the underground hip hop artistry era (ryhming was more of a gritty scientific art than contemporary commercial rap's tendency toward sarcastic comedic and miscreant absurdity). If you like this you might also dig Artifacts "Wrong side of the tracks" by Artifacts an also culturally vibrant but somewhat less lyrically technical crew from New Jersey.

I had to listen to this song about 15 times before I could catch Bigg Juss graffitti references and El-p's lines line "my style is on some clearly ironic shit/like hitting pick 6 on the day of the apocalypse"

Keep in mind we wouldn’t see EL-P in another music video until “Fantastic Damage” five years after this dropped.
