Thank you for your great review! Two days after your video I ordered the OOR (B-stock) from a dealer here in Germany because I wanted to compare it to my Violectric HPA 200AE. The headphones I use are Sennheiser HD 800s and Hifiman Arya Stealth. What can I say... after playing 3 Songs from my "Reference" Playlist (only for a few seconds) I already decided to keep the OOR! Such an improvement on both headphones. To make it simple: EVERYTHING sounded better and more natural (e.g. vocals, acoustic guitars). Bass has more punch, but it's also "clearer". Really happy with the OOR. And of course I will also give HYPSOS a try the coming days. Thanks again for your inspiring content.

Been a _long_ time coming. Now give us a properly detailed 40+ minute review over on your channel Golden. Couple of small disagreements I have, having owned the Oor&Hypsos since early August, and used it as my daily driver amp. I find it's quite good at taming sibilance in the chain. Be it from the music or from a headphone that has just a bit too much bite. I also find my stance on its worth reversed from yours. I feel like the Oor by itself is a little over-priced, but the Oor+Hypsos is absolutely worth the price. The Hypsos really does make the Oor that much better.

The OOR costs 2 grand. Can you recommend any combination of DAC (somewhere below $3k) and the OOR, below 5 grand total, that would beat the Chord TT2?
@JTB--
Жыл бұрын
I had the TT2 & M-Scaler and found it a bit too analytical for me. Sold them. I now have the Gustard A26 DAC paired with the latest/New Burson Soloist 3X GT amp with a Lokius in between them. I like the synergy of this combo way more than the TT2 & M-Scaler. This proved to me that higher price doesn't always equal better results. With all that said, check out the Gustard A26 (Delta Sigma) and the R26 (R2R). Both are excellent bang for the buck DACS.

Why is a simple mic input on an amp so rare, and whenever it is, why is it almost always called a gaming dac/amp
@GoldenSound
Жыл бұрын
Because it's not a feature that most people are wanting, and also, for a lot of people in the high end audio market, the inclusion of such a feature would actually put them off buying the product because people would worry about what compromises needed to be made to include that feature, how much added cost there is etc, and they would rather have a dedicated headphone amp. When spending this much anyway it's generally best to get a proper audio interface like a Motu M2 and then the headphone stuff separate
