Small rectification if I may, the "mesendano", the yellow thing that the woman was putting on her face is not meant for make up. It is a facial mask that woman use to protect their face from the sun or any other deterioration. they take it off to put make up on later if they are going out for any event. it is a traditional, natural facial mask that is actually way more effective than the chemicals products sold in the market in the world. I live outside the country now far away in Asia but still have one as it is much more helpful for skin care and 100% natural. thank you for the documentary, this is a very good initiative! :) May Allah bless you!

Ngazidja are swahilis.there is a lot of swahili spread throughout the East African coastline
