You seem soo much happier in NYC! I love that for you! Also I understood where you were coming from when you first mentioned moving to Florida and transferring to NYC. I also live in FL & commute to NYC. My quality of life is amazing and my seniority does me well in NYC at my company. ATL would be an easier commute but my quality of life would go down the drain. So trust me I understand.

Aww thanks girl. I feel a lot happier just hanging out in LGA vs CLT. It is just way more ME. NYC seems to be very junior for most airlines so I am happy for you! We clearly think alike. ATL doesn't sound fun to me at all so I feel you. Thank you for your comment and for watching :)

@@jetsetwithjess8752 Hey girl! I have a question.. I currently live in FL & I’ll most likely be having to commute to NYC. How did you you do it in regards to being in reserve? I’m currently overwhelmed and anxious about the whole process. I just dignes a lease for my apartment in March and I know I won’t be making enough money to pay my rent or maybe even all my bills. I don’t know what to do… 😣 I really want to be a FA but all of this is making me second guess it all because I will be taking a pay cut so I’m just confused and don’t know who else to talk to. PLEASE HELP

Hopefully you’ll get to MIA before winter commuting with snow is stressful. As former TWA myself that was very sweet of you to say that about ur crew. I give any TWA so much credit still flying as we never got our rightful seniority as you know is everything. Great video !💖👍🏻

Hey Jess, just wondering about the TWA F/As that you fly with (I’m from a TWA family). Did they have recall rights back to the airline, or did they just hire in because they were locally NYC based? They were honestly some of the best F/As around.

Oh, haha, no. That was a confusing way to say it. I just got based where I could drive. But yes I hated commuting. Hopefully Florida will open up and you won't have to do it too long.

Congrats Jess on getting the base you want. Is it hard for American to fly into MSP since Delta has their bases at that airport? Would American be duplicating service to MSP from Dallas?

Seniority is gained when people are hired below you or you move up!

Portland international airport is going to be one the only best airports around major construction…. My daughter works for a company that cleans airplanes can’t say which airline tho.. Haha my daughter has multiple job descriptions at our airport she can go anywhere and they will probably hire her we’re thinking about moving to Fort Worth texas. Please look underneath your seats before you get off the planes….

Every airline has different bases and that is where you start and end your work trips!

Junior base with the TWA staff? 😅 TWA has been gone for 20 years. If you don't like passing through CLT you better transfer to LAX or PHX. The vloggers I follow based out of DFW and PHL pass through frequently. Minus widebody flying I'm sure you'll see quite a bit of CLT when you get to MIA 😆

CLT is un avoidable to be honest! DFW and CLT have so much flyting but its all good. I just do not want to be based out of CLT ever again. NYC has a lot of former TWA staff and it is still a junior base. I love TWA former employees!

I try to tell my husband it’s not just the passengers that have to run through the airport, you guys have to race too!

Im not in airlines, but I always laugh at how seniority gets your perks. Im 5 years in my industry and I out rank people twice my age with seniority and they aways get upset about it HAHA

It doesn’t matter your age it depends how long you been working at the airport or the airlines. My daughter been working at a airport and she switch to a different job she’s been at the airport for 8 years.
