Not being able to see unavailable items is a tactic so that you end up buying whats in stock instead of waiting for them to stock up. The site also has an option of a "stock" build and you just change the color of the parts. i.e, you can copy your bike color scheme and try out parts they have instock. Actually, you could have used that option if you are just trying to see how a particular color scheme would look on the build. Anyway, this bike builder really does help a lot in figuring out how a color scheme might work. Its a long shot but with all the stocks and varying geo and sizes, an isometric view would have been really nice.
