Chang's speech was based on an email Ken Jeong sent Harmon concerning his character, and I think he said it's the only time he's actually managed to cry for real when acting. The DVD commentary where they talk about it is quite sweet.

I kind of don't feel bad for Ken Jeong though, because he keeps taking and doing roles exactly like that. His scene in Crazy Rich Asians was awful, and totally out of place with the rest of the otherwise really good movie

Harmon and co went way too far with Chang and Pierce. Unfortunatley due to Harmon hating Chevy he never really redeemed the character and returned him to semi sanity like he did with Chang.

An amazingly written episode. And then ontop of that just a billion awesome cameos. Not to mention gold from John Oliver in every scene. I can't believe he called in an air strike on all those bears though.

Honestly, it's pretty freaking great. A lot of the best moments from the show are from the post Troy episodes. I miss him but I also like how the show adapted and the writing and scenarios just stayed sharp all the way till the end.

Season 5 is one of the best seasons, but season 6 definitely needed a little Troy.

The episode when they were hooked up to lie detectors Chang said "I masturbated everywhere....... *EVERYWHERE* ! this one with Annie and in the episode where they were trying to sell the chemistry books Britta blackmails Chang and says "I'll send this to everyone....... everyone" the best part of that is that one was a word for word reference to the scene in the professional but because its Britta she Britta'd the delivery

More importantly, they need to watch The Professional ASAP ( and/or Leon: the director's cut), as it is one of the greatest movies EVER.

Happy Endings is (IMHO) one of the only other sitcoms that feels as unique as Community does. It died running against New Girl, and--no offense to NG, because I do like that show--HE was wackier, with sharper writing, and a lot more potential. RIP. If you haven't watched the staged reading of the reunion episode of Happy Endings, DO IT. It's bonkers and it made me laugh just as much as the Community reunion Zoom reading of "Cooperative Polygraphy."

Fat Dog dance and Rick Dance from Rick and Morty are really similar, makes sense with Dan Harmon.

The three in the middle definitely had some contagious laughter for a minute there. When I first watched this episode, I didn't think about Troy until after it ended, I knew he was gone but I actually forgot about him during the episode.

How do I not remember the Bear Down for Midterms Breakdown?! I almost fell out of my seat laughing at Ken Jeong's performance. Fucking Emmy Award winning!

I just wanna point out the evolution of Annie’s outfits, it’s such a cool subtle way to show her growth. She’s gone from the straight out of high school overachiever to the confident independent person she’s now realising she always was. Of course, the way you dress doesn’t dictate who you are, but I think it’s less that and more her adopting her own style and becoming more comfortable in herself. I have so much to say abt this lol but yeah I just thought it was a nice touch

so since this episode came out before Season 4 premiered, they only have the bit of shows knowledge, but someone on the writing staff Harmon included, read the books. so Britta is trying to spoil shit for Abed like Jon Snow being adopted and Cersei blowing up the Sept Of Baelor

The ending scene is a reference to the ending of Return of the Living Dead (80's version) Spoilers for a 30+ year old movie The protagonists call the 800 number on a side of the barrel that released toxic zombies and cause a nuclear strike to be launched on themselves.

Are we sure season 5 is better than 4? Because I didn't crack a smile ONCE during this episode. Season 4 at least gave me some laughs......EVERY EPISODE. This was bleh.
