Communities across the U.S. have been left reeling from a savage stretch of severe storms. There were 300 tornado reports in April and there have been 42 confirmed tornado reports since Monday. Same reason why people live in areas where it's prone to earthquakes, floods, harsh winter weather, hurricanes, ect.

I'm not a climate change denier, but from what I've seen of the statistics, tornadoes are not becoming more severe. The number of recorded F2+ tornadoes was actually higher in the 50s and 60s. But there has been a possible eastward shift in Tornado Alley.
