I personally experienced this in my conversion, becoming very passionate about reading church fathers and history understanding theology But you can be the worlds greatest at understanding theology and not live out a Christian life Blessed Augustine says it is better to love one another and live holy and read no scripture than study all scripture and not live out the love

I was raised by unfaithful Catholics and converted to Mormonism in my early twenties and they fed this "I'm special" mindset. I always felt like the golden boy when I shared my conversion story. It fed my pride. I've since come back to Catholicism and have had these similar temptations but I haven't fallen for the "whip cream on top" perspective and this video really helps me to put to rest that temptation. I'm sure I'll still have plenty of other issues related to my pride but thank you for creating this video.

I always had a love for the Mormons and spent years learning how to witness to them but I too was walking in what I now call a mere shadow of the Light as I was a Reformed Calvinist for 30 years. I was raised also by unfaithful and in truth agnostic nominal Catholic parents but I had devout Catholic Grandmothers that I know prayed for me. I returned to the One True and Holy Apostolic Church the RCC just 4 months ago through miraculous signs that God so mercifully gave me. His Providence I will forever be grateful for. @@loraliecataldi1975 I also had a devout grandmother. I do see a pretty clear pattern that something funking happened to that Baby Boomer generation that broke them off from The Church and the effects of that doesn't seem have hurt them so much but boy has it lead to the following generations progressively becoming more and more screwed up. But on a positive note I do see hope in that there is a clear trend that people are waking up to the nonsense and returning to Christianity and more specifically to Catholicism.

Thank you, Friar Anthony (hope I got your name right). This teaching about receiving communion is in agreement with the catechism I've received so far in my Catholic faith journey of 3.5 years and 6 days. A. Don't receive in a state of mortal sin ( I don't think I have. If so, Christ have mercy on me.) B. Receiving the Eucharist takes away venial sin (I still confess them during the sacrament of reconcilliation, to receive graces from our Lord.) C. Friar A didn't say this in the talk, but my confessors keep telling me to take stuff to the Sacred Heart. I keep forgetting, so I have been asking my guadian angel today to remind me to do this. No doubt whatsoever he will help me in this arena, he helps me so much in so many other areas. Thank you, GA! Thank you Holy Trinity! Thank you Mother Mary, Father Joseph, and all the angels and saints!

There are many converts who are quite prolific, even highly respected and seemingly theologically "knowledgeable" who write many books and have videos and speaking engagements attended by badly catechized and well meaning people who have not yet spent time in desolation or perfecting themselves spiritually. The Fathers have much to say about giving such people platforms and exposing them to the less wise or fully developed in the faith. Thank you for this talk, I thank God for you Father.

Amen! I just reached out to a nearby Carmelite Convent today and requested intercessory prayers on behalf of my son and I. My Evil and sadistic mother has been methodically undermining and misrepresenting me since my son was about 10 years of age behind my back and now He has taken on a poisoned view of me. We once shared such a sacred and beautiful connection where his eyes gleamed with love, adoration, trust and safety to now I’ve been so devalued and given not a shred of respect or acknowledgement and I’m treated with contempt, like I’m incompetent and deserving of covert forms of ongoing passive agressive punishment. I don’t have a right to speak, to act or to BE (Exist) just merely maintaining as mere extension now to serve and cater not even deserving of any thanks or appreciation. This Spirit of Narcissism has infiltrated my son’s heart who once loved Jesus, once marveled at the creation, who felt love and gave love. His heart is now officially closed off from the source of Love and had found refuge in power and control by not allowing himself to ever be vulnerable again. I’m beyond grieved and shattered as it is as though my child has died. Please keep my son Zachary Isaiah ♥️ in all of your prayers. I take comfort that the Carmelite Nuns will be perpetually interceding on our behalf from this day forward. ♥️🙏♥️

I was taught in the Protestant circles that I lived in for 30 years that now that we are under the covenant of Grace that it is wrong to pray imprecatory prayers. This didn’t make any sense to me as so many would in the same breath say to pray the Psalms regularly. Is it wrong to pray these types of prayers now? Under the New Covenant we are to Love our enemies yet I’m compelled to cry out to God for deliverance and retribution for the ongoing assaults and warfare to try and destroy me and my son that is daily being wrought with sadistic glee and profound satisfaction as their efforts are succeeding. I’m left bereft wondering where Gods protection is from these evil foes and while I understand intellectually that He is sovereign and nothing happens outside of His Will I’m watching the malignant covert narcissists gaining victory after victory over my beloved sons soul and he now at age 16 no longer sees me through clear eyes but through a poisoned lens and treats me now in the same cold heartless manner that he’s observed in the way my godless parents have as they have despised me since I was a child. It’s a miracle I’m still alive, the attempts at emotional, psychological and spiritual covert murder have come close to taking me down twice. I want Deliverance for my son and I and for the Truth of my parents Evil and sadistic nature be made known before its too late. 🙏
