Aww the rejection letters realllllyyy hit home for me 💕💕 All people see is my success but there have been so many times I’ve almost quit, being denied to writing camp and like you, YoungArts twice now! Each one hurts but it feels validating and encouraging when internet humans project more than just their successes... thank you for the inspirational advice!

I feel so ashamed when I compare myself to you....😔 I'm a freshman and I don't even know what to do like extracurricular, or community service since I moved to America 2017 and it only been 3 years, tbh, everything is so blurry to me. My school is suck, my English is bad, my parent can't really support me because they don't really know what going on either :( I feel so hurt too see all the confidence and awards, the amazing things u do at youth compare to mine is terrible😔 Please makes more videos like this❤ you are my idol who I will look up. I really really want to become such a smart person like u in the future. Thanks for taking ur time to make videos for us❤❤❤

If I get internships and awards then put them into the application, how would do college know they are real and legit? Do you provide pictures somewhere or proof? I'm a sophomore so I dont know how the college process truly feels like

right so a lot of the college app is honor code. you list them on the common app form under honors and awards. keep in mind that admissions officers can call up places/organizations to verify!

for your writer's statement, i'd say be creative and honest! why write? why poetry (or whatever genre you're going for)? what does writing do for you? why is art important to the world? these are questions to get you thinking, not to necessarily answer explicitly in your statement. and like they say, specificity is key. why adroit? what do you like about adroit specifically? some of your past favorite adroit poems that had an impact on you? all fair game!

HI you are awesome ,thanks for the video!btw how do the admission officers verify these honors if they are not internationally recognized?My problem is that I am a writer in Nepali language and most of my awards certificate are written in Nepali language.So they verify through Guidance counsellors or do they ask me for the certificates?

No , they don't. It's all based on honor code.

@@CassandraHsiao in my activities section,does the time I spent on that activity when I was in primary school not count?I have been writing in Nepali literature since my primary school till now .So that means I only include the hours and weeks spent from class 9 onwards or for activity section is it different than honour and I can include everything?
