In this video Jim Gibson describes the second part of a cabling project, patch panel install. Jim is in San Diego working with TelData a professional cable installation company. There are three phases to a cabling job.
The first phase is “pre-cable” The second phase is called "set finish". The third phase is "test label and document". This is part of the second phase “set finish”. In this video Jim describes the cable management in the data room and the patch panel. The installers are from TelData, a great company in San Diego that we have known about for decades . We have not been paid for this endorsement. However if you're in San Diego and you need a professional cabling company please call TelData (619)387-2200 and let them know that you heard about them through our video.

A proper installation, the only way to go! Much respect for those installers. I'm the same way. You gotta love what you do to have those results. "Keep on Truckin' "

You should become a CISCO instructor and/or open a "Network cabling" school Mr. Gibson, I am sure that everyone, especially young people will benefit a lot by learning from someone like you that has years of experience in the Networking world.

Thank you, particularly for the insight into the patch panels; I'm wiring my home and that's one job on the list.

Recently did my first cabling job for a client and have since been hooked. I started off doing IT when I was 16 and then moved into networking getting my CCNA. Who woulda thought running cable would be so much fun!
