Yes,your right on the money this is such a BS wrong training method,pitty a lot off people believe its gone work in real life situations,you need to train against a resistent opponent and slowly build up,check out functionel selfdefence for traning drills,greetings

Escrima, kempo, jujitsu, wing chun, and lua combined. 90% percent of the people walking in the streets don't anything about combat fighting. These people swing their arms crazy. All you have to do it move to side and counter attack knee, kidney, neck, or head strikes will end the fight.
