Can we reverse the complicated dx dy dz? like to make a safe area?

so there isn't a way to kill one thing specifically? as c is count that's the closest. what does using @r do? make it random?

So the dx, dy and dz is like x, y and z but the area is bigger?

is there any way to test for data values? like kill @e["data"=...]

@@Guppyduck yes but radius sound more mathematical and maths is hard to understand so people's brain just go blank as soon as someone hear any maths term

if i use a structure block to load an 'ability item' made by command blocks will be instantly killed(due to *kill @e[name="item name"]* command and stuff), and i never get any useful answers to that. any tips?

Give it a tag after the ability is used and have the /kill only work on items with the tag

I doubt anyone will see this or be bothered to help me, but how would I give the nearest player a block that can only be placed on coarse dirt? I know I have to do a command similar to /give @p block 1 0 {"minecraft:can_place_on":{"blocks":[“coarse_dirt"]}} but that does not work because coarse dirt is considered a block state in commands. Please somebody help, this is driving me crazy.
