Id say the chinese tracks are glorious and possibly the best, but the other factions music is about the same avg of the rest of the C&C osts. GLA music is pretty creative, tho.

When I was a wee boi, I would play against a few hard AI as China. And what I would do is build three apocalypse tanks - one propaganda tower for healing, one Gatling for anti-air, and one battle bunker filled with RPG guys for anti armor. I would get them ranked up all the way without really attacking yet - just defending and ranking them up. Then I'd wait for "china theme 05" to start. Then I'd send those three valiant tanks in to stand alone against the Imperialist menace or terrorists insurgents for the glory of China! Had some really fun Alamo-like moments, where those three tanks are getting swarmed and barely hanging on. Had to be with 'China theme 05' music though. That was important. hehe

I remember doing the last mission in the China campaign and freaking out when I saw there was no supply dock to prepare for the push against the GLA in the mountains. Only a few crates of supplies to generate income. I built a really small base, rallied what few survivors I had from the initial attack, and pushed through the enemy forces. By the time I was a quarter into the enemy territory, all I had left was an Overlord tank with max rank and a speaker tower attached, and a gatling gunner tank. The Overlord wiped out everything in it's path that meant building or vehicle. The gatling dealt with the infantry, the only weakness of an Overlord not equipped with a gatling attachment itself. With just those 2 I managed to finish the mission and win the China campaign. This game will never cease to make you feel like a true badass strategist and a top tier general when you play your cards right!

Yeah i remember that mission,very tricky with the constant GLA nuke threat,only "way" to do it is trick the AI to throw the nuke elsewhere

@@randomness4989 The SCUD Storm won't launch if you don't have more than 5,000 credits at once. What I wound up doing was building a ton of bunkers and Tank Hunters as I built up enough MiGs to make it through all those Stinger sites between them and the SCUD Storm.

Carlos Rafael Gómez Cabrera I actually really enjoyed C&C 3:Tiberium Wars. It was the most fast paced Command & Conquer made & it was set in the year 2047 but it was still almost as amazing as this game. It really had that good ol' C&C feeling to it.

Damn. I played this when it came out in what, '03? But my dad was and still is an over-the-road trucker and used to be gone for almost 2 weeks. We never played any video games together. My mother is terrible at them and won't touch a game unless it's the original Mario, I did finally get my dad to try American Truck Simulator a few weeks ago and he loved it.

I remember preparing huge and glorious attacks, holding back my airforce until I was at 16:53 before unleashing them. And usually the Migs hit at 17:15. God this game was one of the most fun games I ever played - and the best invention was the g-Button or guard function as it allowed for compex multipronged attacks without dying the micro management death.

Subliminal messaging upgrade is complete.

Some of the best, more relaxing, yet spiritual gaming music ever!

Just bought the Command and Conquer Complete Series on Orgin, and am playing through Generals for my first ever C&C game. Textures are crap, dialogue is laughable, the factions stereotypical, it has no sense of dignity, is crass and uncultured, AND BY GOD IS IT AWESOME FUN TO PLAY! Explosive, actionpacked combat, massive battlegrounds, surprising depth, and tied in by this fantastic soundtrack! We need more games like this. "The mother of all weapons!"

FuzzyPooka For the record, what's your operating system? C&C Generals doesn't seem to work on the computer I got a couple years ago, and I've heard it rumored that it's because Windows 8 doesn't have a good compatibility mode.

That'd be it, I'm running Windows 7. I believe you can download programs that convert windows 8 to a 7 type build, maybe try that?

A very good plan general.

One of the best games i have ever played when i was young. Great memories, great missions, great battles over LAN. Many Thanks goes to developers👍🏻 Loved everything about this game, except tanks vs infantry because i took so long to take an infantry unit with shoots better run over it

As an American irl, my favorite faction to play has ALWAYS been the Chinese. Idk why, but everything about their units and buildings are epic. Don't get me started on the overlords and Helix choppers! I am so fcking happy that this is now on Steam, since I haven't played it since before 2010. This game managed to unite men all over the world. Masterpiece. Incredible realism, no 'diversity' bs, balanced fractions. Even today remains one of the legendary strategy games ever created. Developers and team really put their soul into this.

China Theme 05 was amazing, Always on the move when this one was going. I hope for a remake of Generals, it was one of my favorite games of all time.

"Overlord Moving" is one of the best songs to ever grace a Command and Conquer game

12:30 absolutely love this track. Always enjoyed playing skirmish 4v4 all brutal allies and enemies, had some fantastic battles.

I remembered playing this game since I was in Kindergarten. Now in college, I still play this very influential game that continues to be with me.
