Command codes: Where there are no right answers but there sure are wrong answers

As a guy that has all of the Command Codes and yet havent used any of them, This really helps out.

31:45 [Chiyogami Commander] Khad, this one is actually amazing. What people often misunderstand is that this CC is applied BEFORE damage. Meaning that the card itself will also get the buff, making it a strict upgrade from a normal 15% crit up CC. It's also worth mentioning how this is great even in solo scenarios. Because even if the card that it's on doesn't crit, the crit buff will carry over to your next cards in the chain and will only be consumed when you finally crit. So yeah, it's actually an amazing CC.

58:20 [Royal Bunny] Since the buff is applied before damage there are cases where this is guaranteed to do something. If you do a brave chain with buster,quick,arts and place it on the 1st card, no matter what buff you get it will always be beneficial. Also, this CC is even better now that mighty brave chain is a thing. I would say it's not as bad as it is presented here.

@@juanjotur114 Mighty brave chain is when you chain an art, quick, and buster card together (in any order). They will all get the 1st card bonus of all 3 card types (+50% dmg, +100% NP gain, +20% star drop rate and + 20% chance to crit). The 4th attack (extra attack) also gains these buffs. EDIT: It's not out on NA yet, only on JP. I suspect it will arrive on next year's anniversary.

45:44 Sadly it doesn't seem like it works with space Ishtar. At least not for farming, I've try giving it to her but it seems like the buff is consumed by the first buff you get even if it's one which can't fail. So when farming if you use a card with that command code before the NP the buff success rate will be consumed by the buff applied by the NP (NP dmg up IIRC).

Yeah, I used it on her for a while too before noticing this, then just moved it over to Hans instead, even though I don't use him as much anymore. Having his NP proc the Atk, Def and Star Gen buffs on the entire party guaranteed is really nice, and you don't have to worry about other buffs "wasting" the buff chance up if you use the CC face card immediately before his NP on the same turn.

Yeah I had the same idea and put it on my Space Ishtar as well. I was starting to wonder if it might be bugged at this point but it's gone mostly unnoticed compared to other issues. I mean Romulus had a bug for a while and it was only Summer Kiara that caused for that bug to be found but I didn't think of her NP's damage up effect on her NP could be proccing it as that would be the next buff but that would make sense. Hopefully they look into changing that in the future or releasing a 5 star version that maybe lasts for two turns and buffs all effects instead of just one.

i just started playing recently and your guides have been a lifesaver in helping me understand parts of the game quickly :)

My Spear of Love CC has been glued to one of Kama's Quick cards from the day I got it with absolutely no complaints. With the ease of removing CC's now, however, Parvatti might just get to use her own CC for a change :) Would have loved it if DW/Lasagna would have allowed us to have duplicates of event CCs (other than those few 3 stars).

Just wanted to say I've been watching a lot of your guides on various topics on the game that I thought I knew after playing for a year and a half, but oh boy how wrong I was. I've learnt a lot! Thank you. ♥

Your videos are so thorough. This is the best information on command codes out there.

This is something I needed for years, I never really knew how Command Cards work, but if its true like in the guide said (Or how I perceived it, its not the best explained in game), that I can move Command Codes Between Servants, I can put a lot of great synergistic Command Codes on my Phantom without being seen as bad for just putting them on Phantom and not wasting the Code for if I need it for a specific servant later down the road.

It is from one of the updates in last year JP as they let you transfer from one command code to another one like CEs are supposed to do

Thank you. This is fantastic. I would appreciate maybe looking into example builds of servants with command codes but since its really free to use now there really is nothing stopping us from playing with it ourselves. Thank you so much for this video. I was really confused about this mechanic. So far I've only used two CC, and both are on Mash: the basic Cure one back in Babylonia where EVERYTHING was trying to poison you, and now in the Lostbelts the Focus one so she can use her first skill more reliably. However, I do have a bunch of really strong servants that seem to be missing something, so this guide is fantastic.

As always, good work! Although I Wish they would add option to check command codes effects during the battle - like skill or NP checking by clicking them for a longer time. It is easy to remember this one stat gathering command code on Musashi card, but when you accumulate many different codes on many different servants or if you borrow support servant with codes you don't recognize, it can easily get confusing. In reality the easiest way to utilize command codes is by using solo servants. My Enkidu thanks to CC he obliterated Beast in Olympus :) Plus I did lose some solo CQ with Herc because of burn and cure CC would be great at that time.

@@Red22Black No, it's new to me O_O I always have status tab active to check in-battle effects so it never occurred to me that you can scroll down unit detail.

For np damage up command code servants who relay on their np for damage and have low card damage will benefit the most from them as well. Good example is Scheherazade

I hope you do a video about low rarity servant skills that should be maxed. (ex: tell's 1st skill)

A bit of a weird and not useful question, but for CCs that have an effect on a certain card type, like "when engraved on an arts card, increase star absorb by 100%", do those effects still apply with Artoria's Dragon Reactor Core skill?

Wait, so the bunny CC buffs the cards in the chain? The way I understood it only buffed the one card its placed on with a random chance of working. The text says card not cards.

Yep it gives you a random card type buff of 10% for 1 turn when activated. So it can affect other cards... but those subsequent cards would need to be of the same type. It could have been a really strong CC but they chose to make it as random as possible.

For the lartoria one they should make i last mor than one turn. Then it has the flavor and the spice Malone.

With new mighty chain mechanics on JP Royal Bunny CC should be a bit better I guess

Hey I have a question. How come arts np’s can generate stars with star gen buffs but buster np’s cant generate np gauge with np gen buffs?

I think it's due to the mechanics of NPgen and Stargen. While Arts cards have stargen of 0% it is additive with servants stargen stat and other stargen skills. Thus CasGil 1st skill at max not double the chance of generating stars with card that is used, but guarantee every hit will give at least one star. Let's assume base stat for a card is 30%, so after applying buff it is not 60% but 130%. NPgen on the other hand is multiplicative, so if buster card have NPgen of 0, it won't generate any NP regardless of any NPgen buffs. The only way to change this is to modify card base NPgen by starting with arts (or quick - but the effect is VERY weak) card. I may be incorrect at some point, but that is general idea.

@@nadavzip That is because NP cards are exception and while can modify other cards they do not gain benefits like positional bonus or starting card bonus (for example Arts NP at 1-st slot will allow your next buster cards to gain NP, but putting this same Arts NP at 2-nd slot and starting with quick card won't make it generate more stars). This is mistake I made at the beginning - I put my buster NP at the 3-rd slot. because I thought it would deal additional damage (further cards in chain have higher damage modifier). Unfortunately there are a lot of mechanics in this game that are poorly explained (or not explained at all - I still don't know how the hell I am supposed to know if someone is Brynhildr Beloved).

@@MrArrino yeah I knew that but I pointed that its weird that with the np gain buff you gain from a chain that starts with an arts card can make you buster cards generate gauge, but no amount of np gain can make your buster np generate gauge. Could it be that I just need a shit ton of np gain buffs to eventually enable that? Cuz I haven’t done any real thorough testing.

@@nadavzip nope, you can't. That is why buster looping before Koyanskaya was really hard to achieve. On the other hand when you are buster looping you don't really need to care about things like smaller np gain from assassins and berserkers. Plus it's UNGA BUNGA damage :)

Thorough, as usual, however given the fact that the majority of the higher Star Command Codes are just better versions of the lower ones the video seems unnecessarily long because you repeated yourself a few times. Perhaps arranging all the "Increase Crit dmg by x" Command Codes visually on the screen together would have been more succinct rather than scrolling through the Fandom Page vertically in release order.

I'm probably one of those people who struggles on figuring on how tf am I gonna get these command codes.

Having all of your command codes have burn for your solo servant is scary...

I put the Mask on Spishtar, use the card before activating her NP to go to the next wave, I noticed that sometimes the Buff success disappears after the NP I got MLB Burn CE without even knowing what it was cos I wanted Summer Kiara. Now, my NP3 Arjuna Alter wipes the floor with burn CCs and maxed fou paw

So Khad whats your opinion on Bunnytoria CC after mighty chain in JP ? I feel like the CC is a bit better nowaday . From testing a bit Herc mighty chain seems to outdo buster brave chain until he get a few stack of buster buff for exemple
