My Guess, They suspected the GLA will attempt to attack the parade as they are a Terrorist organization who will prefer to leave their mark on a very important event, what the Chinese didn't suspect is the nuclear device en-route to the parade turned warzone as they were repelling the GLA despite having the element of surprise.

You know there are hidden units in the city like the 2 Overlords near the Nuke's blast zone

It's 2023, and this game still has ever growing cult following. It somehow keeps generating new players. I think that its vast base of mods, both established and wip, are responsible for that.

China banned this game for this mission. Apparently the fictional portrayal destruction of Tiananmen Square by terrorists with a stolen nuclear warhead stepped on some toes..

There are units hidden there tho. They're so many you know.

You can just use the alley on the left to destroy the nuclear bunker undetected.

And here we go, a good Campaign begins ^^ I would like to ask you why the View of Field is so low in your Campaign....... It lookes zoomed in, in your matches against the AI you can almost see the hole Map? A bit curious, maybe it's on purpose ^^

Maybe resolution

My strategy: Move your Supply Truck to Tiananmen Square and you'll find two Overlord Tanks. Install both of them with the Speaker Tower and move them to destroy the car bombs very early before your units exit the base. Move the Supply Truck to the Forbidden City and there, you'll find two Battlemaster Tanks and two Dragon Tanks. Move the Supply Truck back to the Supply Center. Even if the voice says, "Car bombs approaching! All units, fire!", the bunkers will remain standing even after you either let the units exit the base or placing land mines around the bunkers since the car bombs were destroyed early by the Overlord Tanks. These tanks can destroy the GLA units and a tunnel network, so don't lose all of the other units! After the cutscene, move the Overlords into the Eastern part to crush more of the GLA units and tunnel networks while a Red Guard can capture an oil derrick with ease. Move the other units to the West and there, you'll find the United Nations crates which will increase your war income. Finally, move the Overlords to the Nuclear Bunker which is controlled by the GLA. Destroy it and you are victorious despite the loss of your nuclear bunker being annexed by those terrorists.

...Seriously? I evacuated the bunkers cuz those bomb cars like, you know, blow them up. Since I can't defeat them without speed I just let my troops survive. Better to have some additional Red Guards for the assault. Saves money. Also you forgot those 2 overlords.

I actually took ZERO losses in this mission and in the third one!
