Our elders have SO MUCH to teach us, and I lament that we're no longer passing down this wisdom by telling these stories around the dinner table like we used to. It's this wisdom that kept us resilient, and I fear that our youth lack this resiliency from lack of knowledge of who we are and how we took care of business historically. "Can you show me?" That was just brilliant! Thank you, Karen Hunter! More of these interviews with our elders while they're still with us, if you can.

My father checked me in my 30’s by saying “you are to blunt and you never say you are sorry” I had to set with that thought, and he was correct! An apology to me means you are correcting/ atoning for your actions, and the goal is not to repeat that act.

Professor Karen, I remember Marsha Warfield as the security guard on "Night Court". I loved that show so much. All of corporate America is designed to demean Black people and leave Black people behind. From processing our hair until it thins and is ruined, to all the plastic surgery on our noses. Elder Warfield is very right if you want to be rich than yes your soul must be offered as a sacrifice. Hair must be straight, surgery must be done on those big noses, skin must be bleached, and most of all scrub all that Black out of your soul and become as White adjacent as possible. I know this from experience, I refused to straighten my hair, I am a dark woman who has a Black swag its not going anywhere so I have never been promoted and the gag is for all the Black managers that where hired on my job where either fired or forced to leave. I am glad I did not sacrifice my soul because I am blessed in the ways I am suppose to be blessed. I agree with Elder Warfield I want to be more. Thank you for Elder Warfield, Professor Karen.

*First of all @Karen, thank you for making space for **#MarshaWarfield**, I have admired her for a long time! We also share a good friend (and comedian) if she reads this I will only use his initials: **#AL**🎭.* *Secondly, I am very happy she shared her view on **#Monique**, I FEEL THE SAME WAY, she does. When people go back and forth with fighting and attacking each other personally, one usually don't have 'below the belt rules'. There are so many things that the public doesn't know that have been said and done to Monique from that **#DLandFriendsCamp**; but that's a story for the proverbial dinner 🍽️ party.😅* *......and thirdly, here's the real gag about what is still being said at the Casting table, "Can you talk a little bit MORE urban". Again, thanks for this interview, so many awesome things are coming Marsha's way!!!* 🎬 #IBringMyBRICKS!🧱
