I really think you're a good story teller and have a good voice for it too, I recommend doing more of that. As for my name, yeah I thought I'd change it just to my real name, the other name was just sort of what I thought of off the top of my head when I created the account, but it was a bit too long I suppose.

Dude that box is bad ASS! Well done. I'm right there with ya. Started collecting in the late 80s then stop for a couple decades. My comics all survived though thank goodness. Very inspiring video!

wow! You must have been loved by the kids!! I was always at the comic shop on sundays. Sometimes my friends and I would bike there...it was the best feeling in the world!

Yes, there where a lot of regulars that would stop in after school and on the weekend. It was good to know that we created a safe place for kids to spend there time. I sold it after the first year and moved on to other business ideas. But that business is still open today after 24 years.

wow, it's not been easy either. To me the 80s were cool in that fashion. We didn't have internet, so, comics and D&D was the thing. We were ultra nerds and didn't care lol

haha...I had a friend, he had a massive collection. His name was Moe. He always claimed he had xmen #1 We always asked to see it, for proof. He did have it, I think. He would show us xmen way back to the teens..But never showed us #1...he was the coolest of us nerds...lol

I love comics

By the hoary hosts of Hoggoth, that was a fine narration! Fine box, too! I loved comics as a kid. In 1963 I was 10 years old. I remember when Spider-man, the FF, the Hulk and the X-Men first showed up. When I was 17 I switched to reading stuff like Zap and Uneeda Comics. Til my mom threw them out. What collector's items they would be now!

Haha, what a great intro Fred!! Nerd meter alert, nerd meter alert! me, guilty as charged lol. The 60s books would be a dream to have now. Those are the last of the books worth anything. You may get a few from the 70s and 80s worth their share, but, yeah.

very true!! I'm looking at the bar I'm about to work on. It's melamine. I need to wrap it in tiles. I'm thinking of sealing it with outdoor urethane. I'll put feet on the bottom to keep it from the moisture too. What do you think? The budget is set. it's what I have to work with. It will sit on a patio. Longevity if it's sealed?

That's so crazy! I picked comics up again after years and years during the Secret Wars event too! Luckily my early to mid 90s books are still in great shape. If have been pretty devastated of its list them. 🙁 Excelsior, true believer!

I've been looking forward to this build the story was a nice touch. The way your collection got ruined sucks man. This makes me want to get back in to reading comics or revisiting some older story lines. I remember reading the Weapon X story line as a kid, good times.

I discovered this woodworking book more out of curiosity than utility, “pepe amazing plan” (Google it), and I happen to be impressed. I was seeking to find out more about the art of woodworking, and was not dissatisfied. A lot of topics were covered, including everything from wood types to designing your workshop.

You should tell stories while working... everytime!. Great Work!
