Roger Waters used a P-bass like what he played with here, except he used flatwound strings.

Thank you. Out of all the bass lessons on the entire KZread, this is the only one which used 4 string tabs, played a 4 string bass, and didn't have ridiculous finger placement. #1 Comfortably numb bass tab video on the internet.

Grazie, Marco. I find your transcription the best on the Internet. I REALLY appreciate the care you took with the rests. The rests are hard to 'hear' as the kick drum and some of the orchestral instruments play similar notes. If one plays your transcription, it is easy to hear the difference from other transcriptions.

With bass, the way is played is very important in order for the bass to have the best impact. This is not a difficult score, but little things, such as the 5-0 second fret slide in the chorus and the staccato notes at 2:48 are important. May I add, the tone is very good. You did this correct and with precision. Great playing.

Definitely, I play bass in a cover band but never learned to read music. Already knowing this song and being able to actually concentrate on the tablature really helped my under standing of the sheet music. Thanks for posting a great video.

Good transcription. Personally, I'm not a stickler for playing things note for note. Way too much trouble and to me not much fun. But I will tell you this much. Having access to a 5 string, playing that low B during the solo gives it a LOT of power. I also hear Roger playing octaves towards the end of the song. low high low low high just as you are doing here. I do that, but do it low b to middle b, and letting that low B thunder through the end. Especially dramatic in smaller bands to emulate the missing organ sound that is no doubt utilizing that low B.

The tab was very easy to follow this should be used to help people learning tab for the first time. Fun but easy.

good very nice, but, one thing, nothing to do with ur epic bass skills, but i feel i need to point out that the album cover in the backround is “Dark Side Of The Moon” which Comfortably Numb is not in. rather a plaster of “The Wall” would be more appropriate. but if you were aware of this and just like the cover of Dark Side better thats cool too

Sounds great.........But really the majority of this song is played on the E string. The opening and what follows should start at the 7th fret of the E string followed by the 5th fret on the E string.. You will find it easier to play that way especially the notes towards the end of the song.
