Yes and article 129 empowers supreme court to punish a person under COC. Article 142(2) also empowers SC TO INVESTIGATE and punish in matters of COC. AND explanation in the video was 👌

# Article 215 deals with contempt of court or court of record of high court. # Article 125 deals with the salary and allowances of judges of supreme court.

I think the act must be considered as criminal contempt only when the authorities can prove what he/she said is wrong. Because if they are true, it should be considered as freedom of speech. Saying out the right things bravely and creating awareness should actually be appreciated. Though anything wouldn't change by me saying it, I had just put forward my opinion.

Even though our constitution provides for Conviction in case of contempt, but it fails to define the criteria that is supposed to be considered while charging a person for contempt. Henceforth, the courts have developed propensity to prove a person guilty on its own will. Considering the intensity with which the number of contempt cases are burgeoning, it is imperative for the court to define it's exact basis in a landmark judgement, be it humourously, seriously, intentional or unintentional.

I guess it will be a contempt of court when a person we'll be commenting about good or best judges but it will not be a contempt of court if he is talking about that type of court which is I guess is local court which will be less than 95% because still thousands of cases come to state courts and supreme court.

In my opinion Kunal Kamra's tweet was genuinely obnoxious especially when he painted the colour of the Honorable Supreme Court with Saffron and put a political party's flag in the place of Indian flag..there is a way to express your dissent but not doing such cheap things...

We can disagree with the judgement /verdict as a matter of choice but on moral grounds can't attack/criticise/vindicate a judge thats contempt

Court is only for court . Their judgement for others .judges Property never opens . Judicial Department is taking much Holiday than other government institutions although they have 40000000 cases pending. they alway gives refrences constitution but where it written that how a judge team (Collegium System) can decide who will be CJI . it's only in India not any other countries in this World. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
