Hey, if its your first contract then yes you have to do a full medical which lasts for like 2 years. Second contract just the basic medicals, until your first ones expire✨

Nope those are two different things, STCW is the training certificates, Seaman’s book if kinda like a passport ✨

I think it’s important to know how to swim but the safety training teaches you how to survive in water. (lol I still don’t know how to swim😭😂💀)

Hey it depends on the cruise line some of them do accept 18 year olds or if they’re doing an internship and stuff but most of them you need to be 21 at least✨

Hey I paid R5500, I did my STCWs with Sea Certification then once I got a contract to show that I got the job I emailed it back to them and they reimbursed me (this was last year)

@@yvonnevimbainashemugadza7528 hey I think I paid about R6200 I don’t remember properly but medicals should be around R4000 I think I paid more because I went to different places to do some of the tests instead of using one doctor
