Jason, a little help for stepping into you. I can be fixed with the principle of bend which I know you know. With your hackamore on after you have circled the horse both ways put the right rein over the right side of the horn. You can bend him from the ground to bring the hind quarters back to you then apply the direct rein with the neck still bent to the right and back the horse up a few steps. All done from the ground. Every time you try to get on you may have to do this until he stands without stepping on you. When ever you mount with the head bend to the left he will move the hind quarters away from you.

Bale King is an awesome piece of equipment, the cattle look like they’re all in top notch condition ! Great job you have done on the ranch ! You are right I know y’all are already in the freezing stage ! Only reason I like fall and winter is because it’s hunting season !!! I will take the heat before the cold any day ! FYI hoof growth and in fact hair growth is stimulated by the amout of light that enters the eye which then stimulates the pituitary gland which stimulates the hair folicle. Hair grows fastest in the summer. Thats why they have a shorter coat in the summer because the new folicle pushes out the old.

What?! You got CHICKENS?!!🐔😆You know....if you let 30 or 40 of 'em aloose in the cow pens while they're out grazing they could help you out a lot with the fly population by picking apart the pies and eating the fly larvae. Chickens doing what chickens do...free food too! A small electric fence that is portable could help with keeping them wrangled in specific pens if you've no interest in free range feather dogs. Looks like young Bluey doesn't quiiiite have the respect of the cows🐮 yet but if she's that young and shows that keen, she's going to be a total rockstar!!🐶 Always good to pop on the ranch though I'm a bit late on the watch, been finalizing our move and we leave tomorrow! If we got another rn, no doubt my kids wld name it Bluey or Bingo. 😄 Lotsa folks don't know how to do meat chicken processing. Wld probably be a good video. I guarantee if you were running 20-30 bales a day through that processor you wouldn't be fooling around carrying your second bale on the loader and pulling net wrap. You still have to clean the hammer mill every 3-4 days anyway, pay attention to the wind, dont leave that machine untill you have all of the net wrap burned out. When you feed in Montana at 20 below you learn to work efficiently and fast.

I always lunge my horse's before i mount. Gives the horse time to loosen up especially if they are fresh. Im too old to get bucked off.
