For those wondering, the quote is: If you know your enemy and yourself, you will not be in danger in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemy but know yourself, you will win sometimes and lose sometimes; if you do not know your enemy and or yourself, you will be in danger in every battle. Excerpted from "Sun Tzu's Art of War: Planning and Attack" So if you know what you’re facing and your own limitation/ability, you can hope to succeed; if you don't understand the challenge but at least know yourself, the chances of winning or losing are 50%; if you don't comprehend the challenge nor yourself, you’re facing a lost cause. Congrats on your book Cece!!!

thank you!! i feel like the whole process has been a true lesson in knowing myself and knowing the enemy (also sometimes myself lol), so the quote felt particularly apt :)

That is so beautiful! I would love the quote on a pillow or shirt or something. I would love it as a tattoo too but I don't get tattoos due to religious reasons.

You always want to check out a tattooists healed work. Because most tattoos look awesome fresh. It’s what they heal like and look like a few years down the track. Like when that fine line doodle has turned into a big gray blob. Just saying Instagram is great, but look further and closer at your artist

Worried for her because those lines are so thin. Fine lines already have issues with blurring and feathering out, but somewhere like the back is definitely going to have it happen quicker. Probably can hold up for 10 or 15 years is my guess.

I use tattoos as rewards and distractions from things that scare me honestly. If I can get out on the other side of a situation relatively ok then in typical game rewards system style I decorate my character as a reminder that I’m alive 😂🎉

I wouldnt recommend people getting fine line tattoos, specially lettering and specially when its so close together. Tattoos expand, and it will become illegible. In any case, the idea is very cute, and I dont wanna be a drag. You can still enjoy it in the meantime and then have a cool coveruo or something. Plenty of posibilities. Just want people to be careful with what they choose, specially following some trends like fine line without reaserch

Oh um, as a fellow “I get tattoos to commiserate getting on the other side” too…. Might want to research about fine lines style and the potential for spreading to inevitably occur

I get tattoos because funky artwork Edit: Also, unfortunately, fine-lined tattoos typically tend to heal really poorly and become ink blobs. A tattoo may look great for several years, but the blob comes for us all.

You only need 15 minutes of exposure to get all of the required vitamin D needed for a single day, anything over that time is sun damage, meaning her short walk there is enough to be healthy. The sun is not bad, but it is dangerous as is anything. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing, I'd rather avoid skin cancer, my sister has had it twice and it is devastating 💔
