Anything that doesn’t come with the car seat isn’t safe. Heard you mention the headrest. Proper recline on seat will protect baby’s airway

Anything aftermarket (that doesn’t come with the car seat) that attaches to the seat is not considered safe as it was not safety tested with the seat. A suggestion instead of an insert thing for her head, roll up 2 receiving blankets and place them beside her on either side in the car seat to support her head. As long as the seat is properly installed in the car (proper recline), her airways will be fine.

I remember my Hubby and I going to buy a carseat and stroller after each of our children was born. Haha. That's fun though and nice to have the extra time to get items we needed.😁

Oh, you brought back memories to me. However, not for the stroller and car seat. Back 60 years ago, when I started having my babies (9 in all) it was not mandatory for car seats. I just had a used carriage (without the paraphernalia of the bottom metal parts and wheels). We set the carriage on the back seat, and off we went. When all my babies were born, I carried them in my arms home from the hospital. Except for the twins. The carriage went on the backseat and I put them both beside each other. No doubt you will get tons more stories! When Caleb dropped the stroller box on the floor, and you said you were gonna pee your pants……I was laughing along with you both, and I nearly peed mine, too! While Caleb was trying to lift the box I think he a little nervous there,but we all get that way sometimes but especially when you are expecting your first child. I definitely would try to go back to buy buy baby. That have specialist employees that will walk you through and educate you on all the different options. And there’s even more options like you mentioned so you could leave feeling like you really looked at all the options to find the best fit

You can get a new one from the health department in your area just so you no go to the health department and ask for the WIC office and or talk to your obgyn they should give you information on one or even give you a script to go get a new one from your local pharmacy

Any inserts that don't come with the car seat are not approved to be safe. They can void any warranty.

Hey, I’m not for sure if you know this? But your insurance company will give you a free breast pump. I believe you just have to apply for it. And I’m pretty sure it’s for every insurance when you’re having a baby but it’s just something you could check just to see. And the very first breast pump you were looking at I have heard is absolutely awesome. Enjoy your family and can’t wait to meet your baby girl.

My friend’s daughter in law applied for a breast pump through her insurance and they sent her a pump worth $300 absolutely free. Ya might check into that and just see before you buy one.
