Best fighting game of all time. With all the cast members, the ratio selection and the grooves, the possibilities and playing styles are endless. It stood the test of time well. Man, I remember playing this in college. It was the machine that broke most often because people used it too much. Unfortunately, that was in 2011. They didn't have a replacement for it after they couldn't fix it anymore. Sad.

That's so interesting! My college also had a CVS2 machine and it broke down less often than the MVC 2 machine we had.

*It's funny seeing some characters with Alpha sprites and others have redrawn sprites. It's like half way through development, they just said "ah, this is taking too long. Screw it. Use the old sprites"* ✅😂

Omg It was a blast on original Xbox. The only game I played 24/7 online. Made SS Grade. This game is great but Color mode, Ex-mode plus online made it so much greater.

I would rather get a Capcom vs SNK rather than MVC

I still have this game for my original xbox, and xbox is bringing back original xbox backwards compatibility games !!!! Feels good to see this game get its appreciation and still hold weight through the test of times, we seriously need a part 3, and we won't get cheated on characters unlike MVCI

Such an amazing game, incredibly good music, cool looking sprite work and an incredibly vast roster with the 6 different type of grooves you can choose from, there is an almost immeasurable amount of combinations you can create, my God, why did we ever stopped playing this game? -sees A-groove Blanca oh, yeah I remember why.

I would not want modern Capcom anywhere near a new CVS. They'd charge season passes, dumb down the gameplay, and replace the soundtrack with awful dubstep. Just let SNK develop the entire game and let Capcom handle the graphics but not the artstyle. I don't want cave man syndrome again.

Nero of Rome they're not it all depends on how you play. Capcom chars are strong footsie base while snk are combo. Highest level you're not going to rush in and do free combos. SNK was never good at pokes into confirms. Real bout2 is probably their closest game where pokes and combos made sense

For business purposes you can't have a competitor looking as good as you in a feature game otherwise they might possibly check out that co petitors game (in this case kof) so even though some SNK chars can be good when it comes tp absolute top level tournament play the capcom fighters will always be designed to look better.. it's strictly business. Presenting SNK chars in even a comparible light is potential reduced revenue.

This is one of the common misconceptions about CvS2. There are lots of strong SNK characters in this game that can compete against any of the strong Capcom characters at a high level of play. Iori, Hibiki, Geese, Rock, Kyo, Mai, Rugal, Yamazaki, Vice, etc. There are many examples of top players doing well with these characters, especially in Japan. Buktooth, Leezy, Rai, Yane, P-Rugal, and Gao are prominent examples. If there is any roadblock, it's that the SNK characters are sometimes harder to use due to more difficult execution, or their sometimes more complicated movesets.

Road Kill nah, been at tournaments, no one uses emulators. And those players are using a plug and play mechanism and testing on the fly they're joystick, they are not mapping buttons and then testing them. They are very picky, already checked at the combo breaker rules and they are using the PS2 version with PS2 compatible figthsticks 👍
