I like this upgrade kit a lot with Constructicon's g1 cannons and new arms with elbows packaged together. Great video from very nice reviewer, 👍😊

Amazing work on this series, Michael- have really loved following this. You get the balance just right with your tone- friendly and inclusive but detailed and focused about the toys too. You manage to side-step being macho or competitive about toy-related knowledge too which can (weirdly) come across in other reviews. Getting this balance right is rare and, again, much appreciated!

This series has been so much fun to watch. Really great work, Michael!

This was a good review series. Personally I couldn’t stand to leave on the arm extensions because then when you move the arms the treads weren’t locked into place, it would’ve been great if they would have given us a piece to lock the treads together also.

It might sound weird but you put off such a calming and relaxing vibe. Keep it up. I've been a fan from the beginning. 👍

Mike, I don't know how old you are but I'm 45 and SEEN G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Thunder cats be born. What you have done is bought back MAJOR 😲 Flashbacks. I've collected all them since the beginning of an era. Constructicons are massive, bigger than any original, not saying it was bad. I'm a Decepticon more of a guy, All Hail Megatron... Keep em coming.

I'm so thankful for your reviews on this Devastator I've had him for over 2 years maybe longer and I've contemplated on getting those upgrade kits only because I wanted to keep it original but they really do add some Perfection to what is already one of the perfect combiners in the series and I am no longer on the fence whether getting this kits or not I'm definitely going to grab them LOL but I am not using the prowl head

I wanted this devastator so bad. About 2 years ago it was going for $100 on wallmart website. I hesitated. So I went with the third party legends. Im happy with that. But i still want this.

I've been thinking about maybe picking up one of the modern combiner teams - funny you mention the Power of the Primes Predaking because I remember hearing they were releasing that literally 2 days after I'd managed to track down a Platinum re-issue of the G1 Predaking :D

You should take a look at DNA design for Devestator. Its DK-01 upgrade kit.

great series pal... You will review any third party Combiner in the future?

@ Michael Great series on this Devastator, which IS a really good figure, but gets bashed heavily by so-called fans and collectors. I understand SOME of the complaints, hence the "need" for many of the upgrades, BUT that being said, basically, it's a solid Combiner figure, as are the individual components. IF there were NO 3rd Party options for improvement, I'd still be pretty pleased with it overall, having the original G1 as a comparison with its MANY LIMITATIONS and much smaller, LESS articulated scale. However, there ARE options, and like you, I picked up both of the PE upgrade sets for mine, PLUS the Dr. Wu crane for Hook, which I would HIGHLY recommend getting to ANYONE with this Devastator set, or who JUST has Hook (for some unknown reason...?). The Dr. Wu crane has a double extension, and collapses fully so as NOT to interfere with Hook's standing capability... Well, no more so than his original non-extending crane piece anyway. As an added bonus, even the crane hook moves. I'd actually like to somehow get a hold of a DNA upgrade kit for this guy and swap out a couple of the PE pieces, to get him just a little more to how I'd like mine to be, but that doesn't seem too likely at this point. One other thing... Anytime you ever need to pop apart or pop back into place on these guys (Transformers, GI Joe, etc.,) always heat that area with a hair dryer for a few seconds on high. It will massively decrease the likelihood of stress or breakage, and make your life MUCH easier. Nerdmaste, brother!

So theres upgrade kits from both perfect effects and DNA. Is it possible to fully utilize both upgrade kits at once?
