You're a wiz when it comes to creating fly tying supplies. Before you started doing this I can't recall how many products I used trying to create these lol.. I tip my hat to the Master 🎩

Bought a bunch and love this idea. Not the same as EP but close. EP is 100% acrylic fibers, not polyethylene. I figured out the magic word search for EP fibers. The hard part is getting the variety of colors you need and the Angelina flash that is long enough to pair with it.

Just wanted to drop a line and tell ya that I really appreciate your videos. I’m always trying to find a better/cheaper alternative to fly materials and processes. Keep up the good work, I know your videos on rattles and EP fibers has saved me a lot of money and hassle.

I have been just burning one end of the cord and picking/brushing out the fibers. This is WAY easier, I had never thought to pull the strands out of the rope like that.

I've been wanting to make some streamers for bass and even panfish... This material is a bit pricey on the front end but looking at the lifetime amount... It's not that bad.

Thanks for the video! Good information. Any idea if the end product fiber sizes are the same across different "cord" sizes? e.g. 2mm to 6mm? I am thinking that Bonnie's designation of 2mm, 4mm and 6mm are the finished cord sizes, all with the individual strand size of the fiber being the same. I ask because I have found some colors available in 4mm or 2mm and not in the 6mm. Thanks again for the tutorial.

The 2mm & 4mm are okay. It's all the same in the end, it just takes a little more work.

@@TheFrugalFlyRodder I live in east Europe and I would like to look for local brands. What I need to know is the plastic the Bonnie Cord is made of. Polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester, ...? Thanks in advance.

The Bonnie Braid Macrame Craft cord is 100% Polypropylene. The specific gravity of polypropylene is .92 and the specific gravity of water is 1. Being less dense than water it floats.

I use Kanekalon and Bonnie Cord. Bonnie Cord is way, way, way cheaper. Kanekalon is best for making brushes, but with streamers, Bonnie Cord is the way to go.
