Thanks Magdad, that's a great haul, the screw-holding screwdrivers were great value, particularly the NOS Quick Wedge, and of course the H D Smith perfect handle SD is a great find, but I particularly like the MF Spiral Ratchet. that's a peach, what a.classic piece of industrial design that is ! I'll be interested to see what you do with the hammer too, the handle is a bit beat up condition wise, but the steel looks excellent !

My favorite is the Millers Falls screwdriver. Very cool tool. Is it ever appropriate to put a little lube on the spiral grooves of these screwdrivers? Restorers don't seem to do this. Thanks for the enjoyable midweek video.

Columbus can be really good. But it depends. Columbus can be really bad too. It depends on the weather and the time of year. The used market is always variable. The last time I drove there it was drizzling when I got there and that killed it. The time before it was really good. So it is impossible to say.
I have a thing for anything rusty especially knives. The hammer.

@357magdad I did not find the perfect handle screwdriver like I hoped. I'm jealous that you find so many. I never see any in the wild. I did bring home a very nice 26" Disston handsaw. If you don't own at least 10 handsaws after all. And I also bought a 2 speed breast drill of unknown origins at this point. And finally, pucked up my first wooden moulding plane. There were a couple things I forgot to go back and pick up. But over all, I'm happy.

Why did you say - regarding the hammer handle, “Of course it’s tight.”? Are fiberglass handles on hammers always considered tight? I don’t know much about those kind of handles. Thank you for sharing your great finds with us!

@@357magdad fiberglass doesn't suffer from shrinkage as much as wood does too. Also fiberglass handles are generally professionally fitted where as with wood grandpa could have done that in the garage. With a varying degree of success. I've seen a lot of how ya doing going on when it comes to wooden handles.
I like them all but would like to see you restore the hammer first.
