The best part of this excellent episode is that the audience is given subtle clues about Grace's declining mental abilities throughout the story. When you watch the episode a second time they are more noticeable.

This was a great episode, one of the first ever I saw in the late 1970's and the only one I remember where Columbo for compassionate reasons doesn't arrest the murderer. The butler with the strong British accent rang a bell for me, he also played Samantha Stevens warlock father in the "Bewitched" TV show.

Apologies, but strictly speaking, my comment has nothing directly to do with this clip, but so much to do with Columbo! My wife and I have been watching _a lot_ of _Columbo_ the last week-we watched _Prescription: Murder_ just last night, in fact-and we’ve been getting a kick of out of what we’re watching…but I’m thinking maybe I’m watching too much; this is what I texted my wife after the alarm woke me at 4:30am: “I may have to rethink my Columbo watching. Maybe I’m watching too much, when Peter Falk appears in my sleep, just before I wake, with one of those traffic directing wands and stop signs giving me traffic advice! 😹” On the other hand, if Columbo is appearing in my dozing subconscious (and I’m a not guilty man!), then I’m not having nightmares, and there’s been some reason for _those_ lately, so I’d say waking up to a smiling Columbo with one of those aircraft- or automobile- directing glow stick wands may not be such a bad thing!

Columbus in the 50’s was never more than 10 minutes partly because of programming. There’s hardware and software. The 50’s TVs were mostly hardware and too small so they couldn’t hold longer shows inside them. Nowadays the software programming and larger memory with teamwork reaching out to you allows you to watch all sizes due to the chips and LEDs and Motorola involvement. They had to rely on Central Vacuum Theory or other theories like that. The Central Vacuum Theory and 100% basis of operation was a Catholic Ray Tube or CRT. It took up the whole set leaving almost no room for shows longer than 10 minutes or anything else and was very heavy. The circuitry and transistors with programming makes the difference to make an overall racism free product. The primary transistor is the BJT and FET is the modern version of transistor. The types of BJT are NPN and PNP transistors. Dynamism vs placidity. The FET is a unipolar device, which means that it is made using either p-type or n-type material as main substrate. It’s a racist free product in all respects. The jury convicted Chowvin on all 4 counts of racism. That should tell you something. 1619 BLM The proof is in the pudding.

@@FIREBRAND38 I can’t seem to shaka these false rumors that started when I was living in France in a motor pool. I was judged to be totally insane for 5 years but then why did they let me work on fixing the cars and trucks? I’m better now
