I'm probably completely on your side belief-wise, but that's not accurate. It's a lot more complex than that, this wouldn't amount to kidnapping (not even close), but definitely assault.

They want the building then let them have the building. But … prevent them from leaving. Nothing and no one allowed within a 200 foot perimeter. Turn off electricity. They will eventually run out of food and drink. They’ll be begging to come out within 2 weeks. Once they are allowed to leave, hand them a bill for property damage and expel them. 🤷🏽‍♀️

This is what I've been saying. The communication from that side is practically non-existent, aside from the chanting, breaking university windows, being disruptive towards university students, treating universities like residential properties that they somehow have the right to move into, and gaslighting you with "free palestine and if you're not with us then you support genocide!!" which is absolutely ridiculous to someone like myself that has no idea what they're even talking about. If the protests were a persuasive essay it would be one of the shortest, most vague essays ever written.

they are not. they blame university investments/endowments to/from Israel and corporations that operate and make profits from the Israeli occupation that the universities work with. columbia specifically has plans to open a sister location in israel which is itself a major investment. young zionist like these guys just feel their privilege is being violated when a country they have been conditioned to believe has their best interest at heart is being rightly criticized for war crimes and students decide to do more than just call their congress person who is most likely also being lobbied by aipac. hope this clears some things up
