Great review! I just scored a men's version at Ross for just $60. Even though I don't ski, this should be a great multi season coat for me.

The hood operation is why I'm watching this video. The whirlibird iv design is almost identical to a bugaboo jacket I bought 20 years ago with a fleece liner. The hood had a compartment it would roll in to. The hood is the only difference in overall function. Great video

I recently ordered the newest version of this jacket from Columbia. Based on some of the reviews, I was ready to cancel my order. After noting several things you had said in this video, I realized that some of the people reviewing the jacket are clueless. I was ready to cancel the order after seeing two people say the hood could not be stored and was always flapping about as they went down the slopes. I went back to the Columbia site and see that the hood still stores as you displayed in your video. And I saw another who said it could not keep warm in Canadian winters and then saw a Canadian said it could keep him warm well below freezing conditions. It makes me wonder if some of the reviewers are just fake or are paid by other companies to give a bad review. After I use mine on the slope, I will comment again here.

Would you recommend this to a guy permanently living in hills having harsh winters and snowfalls. Temperature fluctuates between +8°C to -10°C. Actually for daily use!

I have an older model of this coat. I wear mine all the time, and it has held up well.

Great review! The only thing that is a tad cumbersome is the snow skirt.

Are you familiar with the Bugaboo 2 from columbia? If so, how do they compare? Which one is warmer and has better features?

I’ve only heard they are similar except maybe the hood so sorry but can’t be helpful there but I’ve received good info from Columbia’s chat on feature comparison of other items.

Hi I get a jacket as gift but onestly I don't know if it's for men or woman no description in the tag how I can figure out I looked so many videos and I can't find them

If you like the jacket keep it regardless - the features should be the same or similar - and it is a great jacket
