I love the simple cuffs. Looks great on you.
Those loops on sleeves and under a hood are for tying a compatible shell jacket ;)
The jacket is also packable into the hand pocket.
Your gear reviews are always interesting because they are a good guide to you deciding whether a piece of kit is good for you. I have never been into Columbia and don't want to run the risk of buying an expensive jacket which is a bit of a pose for going to the pub but no good for the hill. This jacket does seem to fit you well although being a men's jacket I would have expected the arms to be a bit too long and maybe the shoulders too big. Don't Columbia do a women's version of the same jacket? Thank you for posting because you have helped me decide that this jacket is a no for me, although I do need a winter jacket which is actually warm in typical West Country winter weather - 5-9 deg which is not especially cold but it is often wet and windy.
Cheers Abbs. Does the jacket get a bit stickey inside when you get warm? Not impressed with hood. I would buy it just for the disco side ya!

I'd add extra layers underneath for sure at -5 but depends if I'm stationary or moving:)
