I have a Model 1895 Colt in .41 Long... It's basically the same thing you're got there.... I'm really diggin' that Long Barrel on your's... You said it's 7 1/2", Huh?... I've honestly never saw that before on the New Army or New Service Revolvers... I bet with a little practice, that could be a pretty accurate piece...Mine is a 6" or 6 1/2"... I forget... Anyhow, Good Video Man!....
I have a modified 1917 and it is awesome
Love the new service a 45 colt and a 1917

I've got a old New service in 38-40 with original staghorn grips I've also got 1909 army in 45 colt @@srballistics7176
Good job. Like getting the history along with the shooting. Triple 7 did well. Are you loading the pistol rounds a little different than the rifle rounds? Getting closer to 1,000 subs. 👍

I’ve been loading them both with FFg. I had a guy tell me FFFg compresses too much in a cartridge. Not sure if that’s true though because I’ve shot FFFG and it did fine

Some load them just a hair shorter OAL for a revolver I've read because of slight recoil creep in single action. But if crimp is good it shouldn't move. Thanks & Garrett did pretty good for a semiauto guy 😂.
😮 Black powder ammo?

Triple 777. It’s a black powder substitute. This gun was made in 1899 and while it would probably do fine with smokeless, I already load triple 777 for my old winchesters and this gun spent the first few years of its life at least shooting black powder anyways.
