Update after wearing makeup ~9 hours: The mascara flaked a bit, but I really pushed it so I’m curious if that could be remedied with a lighter hand. The Ultra Matte Lip definitely didn’t get as dry as I remember the old ones being, but it doesn’t last through a meal either and needs to be touched up / cleaned up. I had color transfer on my chin which is 🫣. So they’re still not at the top of my list as lipstick faves but I’m excited to go back in and try the blotted lips, because I always liked those better anyway! I love how the new Bronze Stix melted in with the rest of my makeup, they didn’t get patchy. Same with the Blush/Lite Stix. Overall, still happy to see what’s next for ColourPop as they go down this path!!

Agreed with your points! I was a huge CP stan and still have their OG special edition packaging when they only had the Super Shocks, lippie stix, etc. But I was eventually overwhelmed with the releases and discontinuing everything that I actually liked 🙄 Basically "Hey here's a new collection, you actually like it? Aww too bad we're discontinuing it but new launch soon babes XO" lmao Like what was the point after a while, yknow? So I haven't bought anything in yearssss. Here's hoping for a new, better focused era lol

I love that eye look!!!!!! I am happy to see Colourpop going back to their originals. I think that’s a much wiser and less annoying/overwhelming direction than constantly releasing stuff, which can feel at times like a cash grab! The way you described the matte lip is the same opinion I have of the revlon suede matte lips… I finally tried one and I feel like it’s comfortable and non drying but lately I’ve just been preferring juicier lip products!

Yes, that definitely was the vibe! I think fewer collabs means they will feel more exciting when they DO come out, too! I also personally have been loving gloss but i do LOVE the blotted formula!

Yeah as a 57 year old woman I love colourpop... I think they make really great eyeliners and their eyeshadow palettes are some of my favorites especially that one that you tried I just got that one too and I love it. But I have to say I'm just I'm not into the Disney, Saved by the Bell, stupid collaborations... I pretty much stick to their basics. Although I do have to confess that I did buy their Boston Celtics eyeshadow palette because I loved the greens 😂.

I think you made a fair assessment regarding the rationale behind the switch to more approachable launches. I remember when colourpop was brand new and fell in love with the hello kitty collab, and the Kathleen lights collabs! (Truthfully I wish they would bring those back because they were amazing!) But they did kind of go overboard on the new launches and I lost interest. Also they began catering to a much younger audience (in my opinion) I’m interested to see how things change now with the economy the way it is, and happy to see they are beginning to settle in with some more practical and tried and true products that we OG fans have loved for years! Thank you for being transparent with your opinions and reviews! You’re doing an amazing job and created a stunning look!! ❤

I have never bought any of their collabs products. Definitely feel like they change the packaging and that's it. For example, the Mandalorian palette seems like the one I have - just my luck. I just bought new products today and will probably buy more often. My last order before this one was in 2019. So that tells a lot.

Those bronzer, contour, blush, and highlight sticks looked amazing on you! They looked like they blended so easily! And that contour shade looks perfect for my skin tone. I think I liked the contour stick the best. It really looked perfect on you. 😊

I’m very picky with their collaborations; love their Harry Potter and Star Wars palettes so they were a must. The idea of constantly purchasing every release is probably the reason why customers had a buyers fatigue.

I totally agree with you Miranda 💯%and I do have so many palettes from them. I'm going to be getting that palette for sure❤ I love the way the mascara a lot but not the black liner cause it transfers to the water line. I think I would have to mix the 2 contours cause I'm super tan.

Their quality is awesome, that's always been true for sure!

I really hope they keep this up because I have always been so so annoyed at how often they release new products. I loveeeeee their makeup and I have SO much of it, but like you said, it’s gotten so repetitive over the years. I’m really glad they’ve started restocking things and rereleasing instead of new things coming out.

AGREED!!♥️🧡🩷 Some the "over-releases" were too much & very excessive.. but I do like the core/everyday products!😊👏🏻 that palette is absolutely stunning... but, at 55, the palettes for me are mire like "That's Taupe", "Going Coconuts", "Bare Necessity", "Stine Cold Fox", "Nude Mood", "Gone Matte"... THESE ARE MY JAM...♥️💓♥️💓♥️ don't need them all though... eyeshadow has become more minimalistic!!💋💐🥰👑

Maybe it's my age more than my level of affluence, but I have little to no interest in the tsunami of new releases that ColourPop has been spitting out every few minutes. I have a number of their eyeshadow palettes, but they are core classics. Nothing with the childish kids movie themes, nothing garish or silly.

I would certainly be, yes. I like timeless, functional makeup. If that's what being released, I there for it!
