I bought a LV bag *condup* years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences

My thought is that rich people are often rich because they invest and spend their money wisely, and buying a Chanel bag is not a wise move. I know I'm not rich enough, but my assets are enough that I can easily buy luxury goods in *condup*

Interestingly, that in a *preluxscom* , the inside sewing at the handles is more carefully made (leather is not so frayed), than in the original one.

Love your colorful bags Deb! I have added quite a few colorful bags also in the last few years and I love them. I have always loved black and grey and white bags the most but always loved some occasional pops of color. I think When you have so many neutral bags the fun colors keep things feeling new and different. At this point I feel that any bag I get in one of my favorite neutral colors will just compete with the ones I already have and love so much. So I like adding a new color so that it doesn’t.

Rouge garnet is the English pronunciation you are correct. My rouge garnet Kellly was quite a bold color for me too when I bought it. I am getting into more color like you are, for years it was all about black. Lovely collection!

I like your neutral-colorful approach! From what I've seen around, purple, red, and navy are pretty underrated as neutrals (usually black, brown and white) and colors (usually brighter colors like hot pink and orange). These colors work well with your skin tone too (agreed on the bag that you're iffy about)

Great topic! A color choice that surprised me recently is green; when it came to non-neutral colors for bags, I tend to go for blues. Last year I remember seeing Cassie Thorpe reveal a Chanel mini rectangular in an ombré green patent. I thought it was very pretty, but didn’t drool over it. A couple of weeks later I was at Chanel and my SA brought this out of the closet, and WOW! I said “I’ll take it!” In less than 2 seconds! 😅 My bff was with me and made me try it on first, but that was just a technicality; I KNEW I had to have it! And that is so crazy, I have never owned a green bag before. But I absolutely adore it, and can style it with a lot more outfits that I would have thought. It is now one of my all time favorites. But if I hadn’t seen it in person, I would never had sought it out.

I bought one of the limited edition re-issue Fendi bags in Milan, and the sales representative there showed me a trick on how to use both sets of straps so it can be worn as a crossbody bag., and I'd like to share it with you. Clip one end of short strap to the outside metal loop as normal but leave the other end unclipped. Then clip one end of the thicker, longer strap to the unclipped end of that shorter handle strap, which then leaves you to clip the other end of the long, thick strap to the the loop on the other side of the bag. And, Voilà! you now have a comfortable length strap to wear the bag crossbody. I wear the thinner strap on the front, and the thicker strap sits nicely on the top of the shoulder and back. Honestly, I thought this was going to be a bit bizarre, but I found it worked well enough that I went back the next day to purchase another baguette. A good friend has a collection of about 40 baguettes in all kinds of materials and colours from leather to sequins to denim, and she loves to wear the baguette elegantly tucked under her arm with the small strap over her shoulder. While I love that look, it becomes a problem for me if I'm wearing bulky knits or coat, so I really do love the convenience of a crossbody and I'm glad I was shown how to make this happen with a baguette. I hope this trick will work for you if needed.

Deb I am a person that loves neutrals, my wardrobe is mainly black, white, gray and beige. I do own a few colorful dresses and blazer’s and I have colorful bags too but mainly stick to neutrals when I get dressed for the day so I understand your love for neutrals. However the other day when you wore your blue sweater with your pink lipstick you looked amazing. The colors work well with your hair and skin tone. I love your colorful bags you’ve purchased.

She’s certainly not an all year bag for you but I say keep the baguette to use in summer. Give it a try with light blue, white, silver grey clothing, lighter shades of your regular choices. It’s very muted whereas jewel tones seem to speak to you more but I do think, in summer, it could work. Can always sell it on after that. That size looks much nicer hand held rather than cross body. Forest greens, navy and burgundy used to be my colours when I lived in Manchester but became my winter bags when I moved overseas to the sun. Where we live definitely plays into the colours we’re drawn to.

Hi Deb. I have just recently sold my Mulberry Alexa in the regular size. It was too big and bulky for a crossbody. Do you recommend the mini Alexa? It looks so beautiful in the pink. I now really want one! 🙄

It’s fabulous size. Can fit loads in but still nice size for crossbody. Would highly recommend.

I think you’re right - that light Fendi does drain your color - but your jewel toned bags really pop!

Oh noooooo I love that pastel lilac Fendi, it's the one that got away 😢 hope you'll get to wear it! I live in Ireland and similarly to the UK, the weather is a big de/motivar (so here's to a warm sunny spring-summer!). I managed to get a black Chanel mini rectangular in caviar (whaaaat??) in perfect condition, waiting for it to arrive. I paid 5100 eur, do you think it was way overpriced? I felt it was an ok deal 🙈

It’s a shame but I just don’t love it. The Chanel mini caviar sounds amazing. I don’t think that’s a bad price for black and in perfect condition. There is a premium as they are so hard to find. Congrats!

Loving your purple bags (as being a massive Prince fan I collect everything purple 😂) . Not many people collect in this colour. I was on hunt for a perfect purple bag and finally found one from Khaite last year. I'm thinking of LV Speedy in purple that will be released for the autumn and winter season. 🙄🙈
