Great videos. Where do you find all these different colors of POSCA markers? Could you do a video on how to properly shade using the posca markers? I have a huge issue with blending and shadows. If you can thank you. I will subscribe, and wait for it to pop up.

Short answer to shading with Posca is, don't. All water based paint markers are really bad at it. It's mostly because of drying time, opacity and typical surfaces they're used on. If you mostly use just Posca, then the easiest method is using either paper that's more suitable for it or any paper with an "undercoat". Gesso, some poster colors/paints or random acrylic paint all work for that. Cheapest and safest of those is low quality acrylic paint. Just tape or clip the paper, squeeze few dabs of thick acrylic paint (just because it's usually cheapest) in the middle and use some credit card (or ruler) equivalent to spread/plaster the paint. That's how you essentially seal the surface and get a reasonably smooth surface without streaks or shredding the paper. Posca still binds to it, but water doesn't soak into the paper. This let's paint move more freely, slightly extend the drying time and enables the use of water. Now you can wet the surface. Water brushes are likely the most practical solution. Wet surface dilutes the paint and that takes care of opacity. This also extends the drying time. Now you can blend and shade on paper or any other porous material. Smoothest results come from using another brush for that. The other popular method is just milking the markers for paint and using a brush without ever touching the paper with a nib. Both methods are just ways of turning your markers into impractical paint containers. Using acrylic paint and brush to begin with is always easier and cheaper. Working with Poscas you can still use water brush in small doses, dry tools like colored pencils on top of Posca and there are some semi opaque markers that bind decently to Posca. Techniques that mostly rely on layering.
