Oh Sara this is beautiful! You are making such amazing progress towards capturing bloom-like qualities with the Pearl technique. In the main painting here I especially love the ribbons of rich color in the middle and the gold veins with all the tiny rainbow cells insides them! The gold relief paint is perfect too. This one is special! 😊

I swear you have this magical touch that I hope to aquire one day haha. Absolutely stunning pieces Sara. Always love your work!! Wish I could come see you in at the fluid art experience. I just got it, Sara! No one would accuse me of being quick on the draw, but I feel a little foolish it took me so long to understand what you were doing. Now that I know 😁 I'm super excited to try out your new technique! I love how the colors are shadowing under the white in some areas! And I really like how the black kinda made fingerlings in places...very cool and different! I love how you keep making pearl pours new and fresh! It was kind of an odd thing, and hard to explain, I’m so glad! It’s kind of interesting using the puddle paint in Black as a sort of cell activator… Pretty cool. 🤙

Hey Lori, it was actually just black puddle paint. I used Artis loft, black, and a little bit of modern masters black paint.

I love the use of the card to apply the CA! Did you get the idea from Jessica?? Gorgeous pieces, Sara! Work has been nuts, but I'm so glad to watch a video of yours! I'm really hoping to be at another one of your classes in NC for FAE!

This technique seems to be creating very large cell activity ( guess you’re using Aussie floetrol?)! Btw, what company makes an iridized red oxide ? It’s gorgeous in its depth! Got a sense of what color best substitutes now for the NAG which Golden d/c’d ?!? Txz jeanne

Hey Jeanne! I’m actually just using a black and gold puddle paint, mix the same way as my pearl puddle, paints with GAC, floetrol and Liquatex pm. it’s so interesting because it looks like a so activator, but it’s just a pearl painting… Lol. I think for a replacement for QA, TriArt liquids, golden yellow is the best.😁💕
