Yeah, we just had our D1 men’s soccer team cut due to budget. Bunch of people were pissed. We needed this team

Yeah he is really good. We love him here. His one problem is he gets lots of yellows and misses out on games

Sadly not how the mls works. You need to buy into the MLS and show that you can keep bringing money into the league. It’s an extremely dumb system because you miss out on storylines like these making it into the league.

@peter burry no one would want a team that one season could be selling out say Mercedes Benz field but next season wouldn't fill a highschool field it isn't financially smart

Every league has a cup tournament like this... why are people saying, trying to be like the fa cup... the only difference is that, most mls teams don’t take it seriously... but LAFC is, and we going to the champions league too next year for a treble 👍🏽

I get Tim Howard needed a break, but for a club with such bad history in cup matches, they probably should have played him. The fact that the match went to penalties and he is such a great penalty stopper is just even worse.

If you follow the world football I think you'll know that in almost every country there's a single elimination tournament that also goes throughout the season but separated from the league (different competition, (possibly) different winner, and different trophy). This type of tournament usually invites all teams in a country from amateurs to professionals to play in one big bracket. The most notable ones are FA cup in England, Copa del Rey in Spain, DFB Pokal in Germany, Coppa Italia in Italy, and some others. This is just that kind of tournament in the US soccer
