Do you not have to wear orange? Can’t seem to find anything concrete on yes or no. Lots of videos out there people are not wearing it.

Spring turkey does not require orange. Turkeys have incredible vision and it will stand out to them. However, many hunters will wear orange if carrying decoys so to not be mistaken as a turkey. I always carry my decoys in a backpack so it's not visible to other hunters.

Did Y'all end up going to Area 511?

Yes we did mention where we hunted. If it helps a new guy kill a turkey than that's okay with us
