Colorado National Monument

After leaving Utah to start our long drive back home we wanted to take the drive through Colorado National Monument. What a wonderful and beautiful place! The drive was epic even with our Kodiak travel trailer in tow behind us. We started from the North side in Fruita and drove southbound for the 20+ miles until it puts you out into Grand Junction. We passed through several tunnels, all of which are large enough for most RV's. The landscapes here are simply, breathtaking and the views from atop of the butts are wonderful. This was definitely a great place to see on our way back home.

I congratulate you guys for dealing with your fear of heights. My home was at the bottom of the Grand Junction entrance so you are in my back yard...almost literally...

Great video. Planning on driving through onnour way from Black Canyon to Moab next year. Thanks for showing RV’s on the road. We have a 36’ class A motorhome pulling a 4 door Jeep Wrangler. Was debating on parking RV in town and making a circle route with the Jeep. Now I might just drive through. Tunnels will be a challenge, we are 12’ 10” tall, definitely will have to ride the center, no moving to the side.

Beautiful scenery! Thanks again for sharing with us. I think you guys are hooked on the desert southwest and west. Did you ever meet any vehicles coming your way when you traversed all those tunnels? Looked like you had to drive right down the middle on all of them.

How do you get maps of all these places. Do you get them at the visitors center. Planning a trip to Colorado? Also the passport stamp book. How do I obtain one of those?
