I think this situation applies to everyone at this point. Reasons why coaches like Nick Saban left college football. Recruits/transfers want a situation where they will play now and get paid top dollar. The days of playing for tradition and a program are over.

Depends... K-state, Iowa State and others in the Big 12 are still working hard to build programs.

You people are still trying to play the season for Colorado before the season begins it’s just wishful thinking on your part, you are the same people who said TCU, Nebraska, USC, UCLA would blow them out last season how you put it Colorado doesn’t stand a chance you were wrong and is about to be once again

Colorado is going to be run out if the Bounce House. THAT you can take to the bank. Don’t know about the rest of their BIGXII schedule , but that game against UCF is going to be brutal

Pac12 was the best conf last years. CU had no O line, which means they had no running game. Now you can play for the pass. They couldn't tackle. CU only got blown out in 2 games. Every other game was competitive. Travis missed two games. I think Shilo missed one. This year they're better in every position except the QB. Even Shadeur said he has to be better at not holding the ball. Better coaching staff (NFL), better OC and DC. Just saying.

You hit the nail on the head Josh. There is a Super Bowl MVP who walked on to his B12 team. Anyone guess who? Jordy Nelson walked on to K-State's team as a defensive back. Snyder saw something in Jordy and moved him to WR. The rest is history. Oh, don't forget to watch Ben Sinnott, the TE Washington took in the second round this last draft. He too was a K-State walk on! Point being, it not as much the ⭐⭐⭐⭐ a player has out of HS. It's the college coach's ability to see and nurture talent, existing and raw!

Nah... but he's trying to do something that's hard as hell to do.

PAC12 was pretty good last. 2 teams ranked in the top 6 end of season rankings. Buffs lost 6 games by a score or less. I think the BiG12 is hyper competitive and a good conference but the Buffs got better in December and Spring portal. The core of the team will have played together for a year. They’ve now filled holes and added to 2 deep. Think Buffs win 8 games

Again, have gotten better with 2 portals, played in a now defunct conference that was stronger than this years BIG12 (again, I think this is a good BIG12). So, yes a team that improved, playing a less challenging schedule, who lost 6 games by less than a score. You’ve merely noted that they won 4 games and seem unable to articulate why the Buffs won’t be better this coming year. Instead, you use an incredibly lame acronym (LMAO). Let me help you, if you have to call out that something is funny… it’s not funny. Teenage girls use LMAO as their brains haven’t fully developed and they can’t articulate… well, much of anything that’s all that funny. Move along please.

And it certainly hasn't been utilized in the ways it's currently being utilized, and its usage is continuing to change. I marvel at the amount of purist talk about how something has to be done. To denerate the program and call CU "an experiment" because Deion's approach isn't what you approve of, is wack.

Colorado knows that last year's performance and talent, especially the trenches, will not cut it in the Big12. I believe that Colorado will be a better team in year 2. Will it be good enough?? We will find out.

It's a new ball game with the portal and NIL. Deion upgraded the players and coaching staff in year two. 8 wins and a Bowl game is doable!! With an NFL prep mindset the Buffs wiil continue to attract elite players and coaches who have played in the NFL. The future is bright for the Buffs!

I don’t get the comparison. How are we comparing what Deon inherited to the likes of an experiment? No no no. It was a shit show. And there wasn’t an experimental answer for it. You gut the team. And you do it as quickly as possible. Then you set a standard. I don’t know about you but I don’t think 5 start freshman will be able to set such a standard. Recruiting from high schools the first year is a pretty dumb idea. Especially if you can’t submerse them in a winning culture. You’ll invest in them only to lose them to higher paying schools. Deon has to win. And he has to do it now. I really want to know how would Pate do it? How would any of you do a rework of the 1-11 Colorado program. What’s the right way? Do it and let’s see if it’s called an experiment.

Preach, spot on, and the guys they are getting in the portal are essentially 2-3 year remaining guys. Essentially re-recruiting the HS kids that they should have got back in 21 and 22. I wish we could do it all over again from 2005, because if Colorado had not stepped on its own weener, they would be the same powerhouse they used to be. Prime is the perfect man for the imperfect situation, and he has done everything so creatively and amazing. The Recruiting sites hate him cause he is not fitting in his box, and the Big12 hates him, because Colorado used to own all these teams in historic records and now they are back to do it again. Oh, and where are all the Black Head Coaches in the Big 12? That is a bad mark on the conference, considering 70% of the players are Black.

Colorado fans have an irrational exuberance for a football team which is projected to win only 5 games this year. Unfulfilled expectations lead to disappointment and blame.

The pac 12 was better than big 12 other than (Texas). Colorado lost 6 games by 7 points with the worst offensive line in football.. Josh sounds so hurt that coach prime just want do his way ..

Interesting to see who is getting the wake up call. Because everything I see from the players, is they know what lies ahead. That’s why a lot of them are in Boulder right now. It seems to me that a lot of people doubt what this team is capable of. So…..Remains to be seen who gets the wake up call. Cuz the Buffs are gearing up for battle. #SKOBUFFS
