If you watched the CSU game, you saw a mid-teir Mountain West team shove CU around for 58 minutes. If a Mountain West team is more physical than you, you're not going to do well in a major conference like the PAC 12.

I been saying Coach Prime is gone after next year. He will resign/retire after 2024 season. This was a win-win for both. Got Shedeur seen on a National level against top tier competition and Colorado became a house hold National brand again. This was never about winning football games or building a culture. I am SEC to my core and even James Franklin recruited well at Vandy and built something there before Mason tore it down. Prime is a dad first and knew his son was never gonna be more than a 6th rounder at JSU. So he found a P5 school that was going to allow him to be PRIME so they could benefit from his name. Recruits are starting to see this and bailing out. Coach JB is right he won’t ever get a quality QB because they will never see the field

Damn. After reading your comment I was skeptical. But, after reading it twice, it made a lot of sense. I was all in with Deion being coach at Colorado. But when he lost that Stanford football game, I started scratching my head. Maybe Prime isn't so Prime. And, I think Deion now realizes he isn't so Prime Time anymore.

I just feel like the way things have gone(my opinion I own it), him firing Sean Lewis when the defense can’t stop anyone, and him throwing the O-Line under the bus makes me think this was about his son and getting him exposure. Shedeur hangs onto the ball too long. Stanford I believe broke the camel’s back. I believe they quit and Utah will be awful to watch. Last thing I think all offensive coaches will bolt this off-season

Deion goes to the Big 12 Conference next season. Most of the Pac-12 will go to the Big 10 Conference. Stanford and California goes to the ACC Conference. I don't know if the Big 12 Conference teams will play non Conference games against the Big Ten Conference teams? Regardless you have to play to win the game. As coach Herman Edwards said when he coached the New York Jets. He works for ESPN now as a football analyst. I'm sure Deion will be glad when the last tick on the clock in the 4th Quarter hits zero. The Colorado Buffaloes season will be officially over. A sign of relief for Deion and his players.

I hope he wins 8-10 games next year but looking at BIG 12 teams and how they struggled against the pass this year. Unless he improves on defense then it’s gonna be how much can your offense score. BIG 12 will be tier 2 compared to PAC-12 this year. PAC-12 has surprised me with the quality of football this year

As a head coach, you can’t throw a position group under the bus publicly like Deon did with his O Line. Especially in his case where it’s the o line that is there to protect his QB son. I would be amazed if any o line transfer or recruit would even consider going there

Well one is coming and he was coached under Coach Sanders prior. He made mention of who cares who leave. Obviously he can’t be bad as outsiders say. Team thats bench using media for weapon to weaken Coach plans. Im sure if your players make negative comments towards players on the field you’ll try to get rid of them. They do it once its bound to happen again

At this point, can’t argue with JB’s assessment. This team doesn’t look or feel like a legit program headed in the right direction, especially if you watch their 3 YT channels. It looks like a mess. This year was a success, compared to last year but not sure this is the right direction. The portal is not how you build a program, especially both lines, its for plugging in a few player’s for depth or picking up a star or two, if you’re lucky. Deion seems to think he can get what he needs like he’s shopping down the aisle for groceries. He’s way too inexperienced of a HC for a major program, Colorado is the perfect job for him: low expectations & a fan base that’s not rabid.

Matt, I don’t agree that the CU buffs quit against Washington State. CP quit when he announced that Alton McCaskill would be redshirted.

Colorado was always just a stepping stone for Deion the further his brand. When they’re selling black and gold “P21ME” hoodies on Nike’s website and there’s no mention of the university on the clothing or the description of the product on the page it’s pretty obvious what’s going on. Also the Well Off Media KZread page is an embarrassment to the university. No other major program in America allows the head coach’s son to post 20-30+ minute videos on social media of what goes on inside their athletic department and locker room. Even from day 1 at Jackson State it was always about Deion marketing himself and his inner circle to make money. I knew from day 1 when he was talking to the roster and told them no hats or sunglasses were allowed in meeting while he was wearing a hat, sunglasses, and I think a hoodie as well that this would happen and then tells everyone to hop in the portal because he was bringing his “Louis luggage” which turned out to be a bunch of American Eagle luggage or USPA at absolute best that it would turn out like this

@@kewright07 - Deion was an interview celebrity. After his DV situation with Pilar, his pregame commentating career was done. The only way for his name to be relevant, he had to coach somewhere. And coaching Shedeur for 4 years somewhere was his ticket; which is why he found a college where he could easily get his degree.

texas had 4/5 star skilled guys but didn’t invest in the trenches until sark. If colorado thinks they are going to get their bigs in the portal and not recruit and develop their high school talent, I feel they will create a ceiling for themselves like texas did w/ strong & herman as HC.

It’s the hardest and least sexiest thing to do in football: recruit & develop your O & D lines. It’s the foundation before the skill players. Deion went shopping for all the things to decorate a house that wasn’t even built yet, the classic “new to coaching” mistake.

CU didn't have much talent, there was no way he could come in & flip elite OL's getting promised collective checks a few weeks b4 early signing. The fact is there aren't many 18yr Olds the last 50yrs of D1A football that can come in & not have their ass handed to them on the field. As such he's putting heavy emphasis on the portal early so that recruits only get out on the field when they're ready for it. Now one may not like that strategy & prefer the bring in young guys & let them take their lumps(or beating), but it is a valid one for places void of talent as CU was.

where was all this rhetoric when they were winning and now that there not all of this comes out i would of respected it if this was what was being said in week two or three . To Matt McChesney credit i have heard him mention the fight song early in the season but these are College athletes it's not easy to come to a whole new school a whole new system all new coach. I hated to to see the buff lose any game but for most of them i was entertain and my love of colledge football reborn. The college game has gotten a little old watching the same big school rolling over everyone CU and TCU last year was a breath of fresh aiir . im looking forward to what the transfer portal will bring to alot of schools. I dont think that CU is worst off if prime leave because now CU has a tasted of what it is to be in the light and winning is what it takes.

Yes they sound silly and willing to leave out all the details for clicks. It’s just amazing how all these shows are willing to say anything and still use CU and CP to get their ratings up. He’s been as good for them as he has been for Colorado.

This dude is a University of Colorado guy, whereas most of their new fans are Deion Sanders fans. They aren’t the same thing.

When the season started and they beat TCU I was really rooting for Colorado. I remember when Bill McCartney first started back in the 80s and really did a fanstastic job while coaching there. He built the team into a real contender and I thought maybe Sanders could bring them back. Now the whole thing is looking like a very bad and dysfunctional mess. I saw the pregame speech and it was awful. It looked like something a volunteer coach might say to a peewee team. And then you have the DJ blasting the music in the locker room before the game. Somebody else said they could see Sanders leaving Colorado after his sons finish playing. I could see that happening as well.

Well look at what Northwestern has done. They were also 1-11 last year, fired the coach a few months before this season, put someone else as head coach and are bowl eligible this year, and may even finish with 7 wins. Deion, with all the support/finance/help…, could only come up with 4 wins. It’s obvious he’s doing something not right…

Matt is right the one time I saw the team sing the fight song half of them weren't singing and alot of them looked like they didn't know the words some were mouthing the words also

Being from the A&M area, there is zero chance Deion is even offered the job. Mainly because Deion will never buy into the traditions and be at the big money boosters beck & call. Basically it's a minefield of politics that a HC has to navigate at A&M.
